A brilliant read ... thoroughly enjoyed it!
Another South African novel to add to your list.

Interesting perspective on inter-racial relationships in South Africa and vegetarianism. However, story lines appear to be abandoned in some places and there is lack of consistency of the characters. Katryn makes for a very unconvincing heroine whose only role is to obsess over KK indicating that the book is clearly written by a man with no idea of how a woman would react. The book also reads like an advocacy tool for vegetarianism in some places.

Overall though, it is an enjoyable read

It was a great read. I learnt a lot about the Pedi culture. It also taught me not to say someone is a Sepedi guy.
