Join Jenny Brix as she travels back to a simpler time, where Ronald Reagan is still a small-town lifeguard and Illinois afternoons are spent with your favorite girl at Lowell Park. In this historical novel from Mike Chapman, readers are caught in a time warp to the early 1900's. The book centers around Dixon, a small town in Illinois that was the center stage for two of our most prominent presidents - hometown of Ronald "Dutch" Reagan, and battleground for a young soldier named Abe Lincoln. Blending both fantasy and fact, Lowell Park is an entertaining and informational look back at the origin of some of our country's most influential figures.

The is a historical novel. Jennifer Bix was given the opportunity to travel back in time and meet a young and handsome lifeguard, Ronald Reagan. She didn't know she was going to meet Captain Abe Lincoln, and Chief Black Hawk as well.

This was a cute time travel book-- probably mostly enjoyable for people who have lived in Dixon. 😊

Jenny falls through a time warp in Lowell Park in Dixon, Illinois, and, at that site, encounters two persons who will become prominent Americans in their futures. Arriving in the early 1900s, she meets a young and handsome lifeguard by the name of Ronald "Dutch" Reagan. Going back even farther in time to the 1800s, she meets a young captain of the local militia at the time of the Black Hawk War and that, of course, is Abe Lincoln.
An enjoyable look at the origins of two American presidents who had ties to my home state of Illinois.
