Enjoyed this more literal translation of the anapanasati, and it was a complete and thorough overview of the practice, but felt there were subtle points of judgement that wasn't truly necessary. After all the book was written in 1988 in a different cultural context.
The translation of terms differs somewhat from what Western practitioners use these days, and is less clear what it means, but is in fact a more literal translation of the ancient texts.
