This is a well laid out introduction to runes. The author goes into both the history and the mythology that is connected with this craft. It isn't lengthy, just enough to get the basics. There is a section about how to go about making your own runes. It also covers the meaning of each rune, as well as how to go about casting and reading them. It gets into the magical aspect of runes (each rune description includes magical properties/uses), though it is just an intro, and the author encourages you to look at other resources if that is your interest. This book looks mostly at the divination practice of runes, rather than the magical aspects, such as talismans. Overall, a very good resource.

Some sections literally copied and pasted over and over. Some of the information was hard to follow. It felt like there was an assumption you already had a strong background in Nordic religion and naming conventions. Some good information, but overall not the best.

Straight and to the point. If you’re interested in rune casting, it is a resource worth checking out. There are some typos and the summaries aren’t poetic or interesting. But it’s a good start for the basics.
