The author opened up in a vulnerable and creative way in expressing what the authors considers healthy and toxic love.
I feel like the poetic flow, is beautiful and appreciative. This book can be considered as a quick read, but this is a book I will continue to read a reminder to myself.
Definitely take your time when reading this poetic book as the chapters and pages are short with little wording on each page.
I appreciate the authors vulnerability. They touched on a sensitive topic and explained how a toxic relationship or a good relationship will feel to someone, and what to look for. I do, however, wish that some of the pieces were expanded upon. I understand poems are a creative thing, but all of the words in this book could fit on 3 pages.
Didn’t even want to leave a review because there is enough negativity in this world…. I appreciate that the author tried to showcase her vulnerability and create a safe space for others to feel the same; but honestly this book knows nothing of what love is. Sinclair has an immaculate vocabulary and that is probably the only redeeming of this book.
