Fine for what it's trying to be: an easy-to-read book with no pretensions to grandeur. (Sadly, it's not the book I was hoping for: I'm trying to identify the first book I ever read on my own, which involved a cowboy, his horse, and was notable for its easy-to-readness. This wasn't it).
(Note: 5 stars = amazing, wonderful, 4 = very good book, 3 = decent read, 2 = disappointing, 1 = awful, just awful. I'm fairly good at picking for myself so end up with a lot of 4s).
