Love, Heart, and Memory

Rate this book
A lost memory leads to lies, misconceptions, and maybe true love.

Leona Hilty takes a life-altering tumble from her horse. She awakens with memory loss but knows she loves the first young man she sees. Her family repeatedly tells her that their stable hand, Peter, is courting her. However, she has no recollection of Peter, and he makes her very uncomfortable.

Henry Byler is unhappy working on the family farm. His passion lies with building furniture, not tending crops. He wonders what God has planned for him. His life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers a beautiful young woman unconscious in a ditch.

Peter Raber is a young man with dark secrets. He’s determined to claim Leona’s heart, one way or another. Will he succeed?

As Leona recovers, Henry grows to care for her deeply. Peter thinks he can still win her hand. What will he do when he realizes Leona will never be with him?

Will Henry find a way to pursue his passion and keep the love he has found?

Can Leona regain her memory and have a chance at love?

I liked this beautiful Amish romance about Leona and Henry. They live on neighboring farms but never got to know each other until Henry finds Leona in a ditch unconscious after her horse threw her. When she wakes up, she thinks she is married to Henry. A stable hand from Leona's family farm tries to make everyone believe that he is her fiance since her memory is distorted. Leona acts afraid of him but she doesn't know why. You will have to read the book to find out if she gets her memory back. I recommend this book to those who enjoy a clean romance. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.

A bit of mystery in this one
At least the crooked farmhand got sent on his way. The ladies of the circle were only nominally involved again but their inputs were well received. So now 2 brothers got married and their careers and farms are secure.
