Matthew Brown participated in the Montreal underground zine scene of the early 1990s with Gogo Guy / Éditions Trip Comix and continued upon returning to Toronto, as well as launching his own Ambient Zero Publications. He has studied Theater, Education, Art/Design and Architecture, and traveled widely through India and Nepal. He lives in Toronto, where he teaches ESL and is currently working on the next magnum opus, PENGUIN DETECTIVE – detailing the wayward youth of his most beloved character, Poopsie the Penguin.
