After hiking Franconia Ridge (Falling Waters up, Greenleaf to Bridle Path down), I was inspired to hit all the 4,000 footers, decided I could bag them all this year. 16 down so far, working my way up to the Presidentials!

This book has been incredibly valuable in planning out hikes, understanding the mountains in the context of the surrounding geography and features to look for. So many great tips about side trails, lookouts, camping, etc. I’ll be honest I use the All Trails app so haven’t needed the maps much, but they are awesome and nice to have them in my bag just in case!

I’ve always loved hiking but this is the first year I’ve really gotten after it and this book has been indispensable. Read it and get hiking! See you out there!!!

My bible. Can't imagine so many of my recreational pursuits without it. And LOVE the new maps with the mileage printed for each section of trail.
