It may be a bit out dated, but don't let that stop you from picking up this great fast paced read...laughed at many parts throughout the book...BuT still very true on what it's like to make your way up the ranks in Hollywood...fun to read of the not so famous at the time of this publication that are now major stars!!

A probably very true real life depiction of what it's like to try and work your way up the ranks in Hollywood. Easy read. I would recommend it to someone seriously considering this profession or someone who is interested in the inner workings of the industry.

A bit dated -- especially in the sections about the Internet and about gays in Hollywood. Other than that it was an easy read, with interesting and funny anecdotes interspersed among useful information.

Great read, definitely covers everything an assistant needs to know or should/can expect. I loved the writing style. Very light , fast paced and made me laugh on more than one occasion.
It covers everything from intern duties to basic usage of the most common drugs in an assistant's life.
