My favorite part of this vintage American Girl book was the suggestion to bring a disposable camera for the first and last days of school. However, even though that detail was delightfully dated, most of the themed party ideas, crafts, and games have timeless appeal, and this out-of-print book would be a worthwhile option for a girl looking for seasonal games or holiday party ideas. Some aspects of this book seem like wish fulfillment, since they assume that every girl will have a large group of friends and parents who are able to host regular parties, but someone can take from this whatever pieces they would find most enjoyable or helpful for fun times with friends, siblings, or extended family.

This has some cute ideas for major holidays, plus a few extras, like the first day of school. There are activity ideas, crafts, games to play, decorations and treats.
