Zane is back with "Gettin' Buck Wild: Sex Chronicles 2, " more stories for the legion of readers that made "The Sex Chronicles" a bestseller.
Zane's erotic short stories have captivated the minds of both sexes and all races. "The Sex Chronicles: Shattering the Myth" did exactly what its title implies -- exploded the myth that men are more sexual in nature than women, and that African-American women in particular are inhibited compared to their female counterparts of other cultures.
Her audience is growing by leaps and bounds, nurtured by her Internet site and her previous bestselling titles, including "The Heat Seekers, " her debut in hardcover. Zane knows exactly what her readers want, and in "Gettin' Buck Wild" she gives them some of her most provocative prose to date. Her characters and settings run the gamut from committed, monogamous couples looking to experiment, to the wild single sisters who belong to a very unconventional sorority. Zane tells the story of a high-paid multi-tasking career woman who gets her groove back in "When Opposites Attract," a couple who try something new in "The Subway -- A Quickie," and a new way of celebrating Christmas in "The Santa Claus." She spices up real-life scenarios with over-the-top sexual fantasy and ultimately gives her readers the best time they've ever had in the good company of a book.
With all-new characters and settings, "Gettin' Buck Wild" is Zane's hottest collection of stories yet. Smart, witty, and extremely sexy, this second volume of Sex Chronicles is tailored to women -- but perfect for lovers to share.
Zane is the New York Times bestselling author of Afterburn, The Heat Seekers, Dear G-Spot, Gettin’ Buck Wild, The Hot Box, Total Eclipse of the Heart, Nervous, Skyscraper, Love is Never Painless, Shame on It All, and The Sisters of APF; the ebook short stories “I’ll be Home for Christmas” and “Everything Fades Away”; and editor for the Flava anthology series, including Z-Rated and Busy Bodies. I am a true fan of zane's book, i think she talented and has a very creative and impressive inmagination. And she can defintely talk SEX....Having read and enjoyed The Sex Chronicles, I had to get my hands on the sequel. Zane's imagination goes into overdrive with stories that are guaranteed to leave you begging for more -- so to speak. The stories vary from sensuous and romantic, to wild and kinky, but they all have a similar theme: a woman shattering her inhibitions by venturing into her wildest sexual fantasies. I marvel at this author's ecstatic and inventive writing. I couldn't put this book down. Are you in the bargain for a very saucy read? Get Buck Wild and pick up this book! :-)
SUPER FREEEAKIE!!! If you like that kinda stuff. A bit wild and outlandish. Eyeopener. Mind-blowing. Thought provoking (in a can that be done since, not intellectual). Straight to the point. Real words in real situations (for someone, somewhere). No fuss. No muss. Some good, some great, some not worth mentioning, but overall I enjoyed it.
This book was a bit bland. Zane sets up some really fun, hot scenarios for her heroines, and it's really great. Unfortunately, when it gets to the fun, sexy parts, the writing gets very stale. These scenes are often merely litanies of sex acts with minimal description, and the tension and emotion that was built up in the opening parts of the stories just peters out to a litany of almost scientific writing with little emotion or feeling. I really liked the set up stories to these tales, which is why I gave two stars, but the fact that the sex was so poorly written is why I stopped there.
NOW I KNOW I ALWAYS HAVE GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT ALL OF ZANES BOOKS BUT............DAMN ISALL I CAN SAY I WISH THAT I WAS AS BRAVE AS SOME OF THE WOMEN IN THESE STORIES
I don't really know where to start. Honestly, I don't understand the big whoop about Zane books. As a woman of color, I found some of the stories in this book truly offensive. One of the stories was just plain unhygienic. The way some of the men talked to some of the women was unacceptable and vice versa to me. Some of the stories start well, but when I got to the intimate scenes, well they weren't what I expected. I'm a pretty common reader and these sex scenes really had nothing appealing about them to me. They weren't very detailed and were quick. I just don't get it.
Just like the first book "The Sex Chronicles" it has short stories of peoples sexual experiences. As the book is split into three sections "Freaky", "Freakier", and "Down right nasty". This book tells the stories as they should be told.
This book is just like the first one. It was sort of boring because you already knew what was going to happen. It took me almost a week to finish the ending because it got so boring.
Better than the first one, but it does get kinda like a retread towards the end. Alot of analogies, comparisons, and even the dialouge is used repeatedly. But, like a reliable late night booty call, it still gets the job done. I would recommend reading this one, because you might wind up learning a new trick or two.
I did not finish this book! It started out good but I started to feel as though the stories were all the same and I lost interest! Maybe I will revisit this at a later date.
this book is about this gurl is telling her sex life and how she is having sex with these guys and she finds one and dump him then one day this guy she had met they had got married and they didnt know that their ever love eachother and how they had this love affire at the beach and at this expensive holtels so she fanally loves him and they want to stay together so yeah
I liked this book and found it a good read. i found the bite size stories great to read on the way to work/from work back to home. they all seemed to sit well together and in someways could have been the life of one person. The book is a playful tease as it doesn't get hardcore and in your face but more subtle and soft, yet passionate.
Well, well, well.....it was nice to read short erotic stories....this was a different format from the other books I have read by the author but I throughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more.
So I thought about it and this book for me os only 1 star.
The book was just okay nothing special. Gave it 3 stars because some of the stories were actually very funny and had a couple of good stories. But nothing about the book made it worth 5 stars...Thought about it more like 2 stars
