A well written and illustrated Native American Woodland tale about animals and their quest to finding the summer birds. The fisher who leads them in this endeavor eventually becomes a constellation that the animals can rely on over and over again. This would be a great book to hide the text and have the students write the story from the illustrations. The message of this tale is to work together to accomplish a goal.
