Typically, I love the Dummy series books, but Dede Wilson's Christmas Cooking for Dummies didn't quite have the contents I was expecting. While it does contain several Christmas menus and cookie ideas, most of it had ingredients I just simply would not use. I did like some of the tips, such how to craft an outdoor garland for the trees and what to use for additional trimmings for gingerbread houses (sans the kit). This entire book might be handy tool for those just starting out on their own.
