Supreme Love: A Battered Woman's True Story

Rate this book
True story of woman trying to get free of abusive husband and finds God. All Kelly Cyr wanted was a loving marriage, a happy family and a good home. A nurse with a handicapped child, she met and fell in love with Kane Cyr, a logger who already had two marriages behind him and three children who also stole her heart. What happens during their courtship and marriage should never happen to any woman. This is the harrowing account of a battered woman who tries to get free. It is not so much the battle through the relationship that is horrendous, but the never-ending aftermath and the unbelievable events that occur. No one is perfect and she makes many mistakes. Her life falling apart, she is driven to a nervous break-down from Kane's ongoing abuse. God speaks to her. Heartbroken, she builds an altar for battered women and children. Through amazing spiritual revelation, she knows what she has to do. Shocking, filled with suspense and surprise, this compelling and intense autobiography will awaken you to the truth about domestic violence. Kelly Cyr's divorce cost her everything but her life. Because of a vow she made to God, she is now on a mission to help battered women and children. Supreme Love should stand alone as an unforgettable story for all time, a woman's spiritual odyssey and a true testament to what happens to a battered woman.

I read this book. It is about a woman's struggle with a failing marriage, abuse and eventual redemption from the perpetrator. Very well written.
