The good + Vex's new job and the clients it attracts + Gramiel's utter cluelessness about how life and polite interactions work + Vex blushing and squealing into his pillow because + GRAMIEL GAVE HIM A FOREHEAD KISS OMG + Also Gramiel keeps carrying Vex whenever he encounters his arch-nemeses (stairs)
The neutral o Gramiel's nickname is Gram and it's distracting
The bad - What's the plan? I have no clue what the plan is. If , then how are they supposed to help ?
Quotes x "Who are we killing today?" "Gram. The code. When we're out in public, we use the code." "Oh. Yes. Who... er... which of our good friends from university are we going to ki-... to visit today?" x "I've sat on your neighbour's roof and spied on you many times. Do you mind? I didn't think you'd mind."
I'm really just writing separate reviews for each installment so I can keep track of my quotes. Anyway, would recommend.
This continues to be a delightfully fun, confusing, and murderous novella series.
Still in the slow burn pining phase, demon and angel best friends working together on an overarching "take over the world" type plot. Such chaos, but very entertaining plot and world. The humor is working for me too.
Another day, another murder of the hellbound for Gramiel and Vex. Now with added angelic interference! More characters pop in, things get a bit more complicated, and honestly about here was where I suspected that I'd be buying the rest of the series. It's not anything in particular, just that I freaking love the way the author writes characters. They're interesting in and of themselves, as well as fun to watch snark at each other, and it's just a fun ride.
The plot is slowly moving. Romance isn’t really there and I’m questioning if this is a romance series but I suppose I’ll learn that soon enough. These are short novellas after all.
