It could be that I've just gotten so familiar with the cast of characters that this book was like coming home. Same great writing. Same interesting style of character development with the new characters and masterful resolution of all of the existing relationships among the existing characters and new and existing plot lines. This book picks up where Metamorphosis left off and delivers all of the clans and characters at the end in one final collision in that was, for me, totally unexpected. Still team Noah. Glad that Ms. Logan left us that slight possibility of yet another book in the series. If you loved Broken and Metamorphosis, you must read Redemption.

“Just because a belief is held by many doesn’t make it right”

Just because almost everyone in the magical realm of Htrae believes that Siobhan, the ruler of the Heichi sorceress clan, is almighty, does it make her such? She certainly believes there is no one above her, and this belief gradually strips her of any human feelings she might have had.

"Redemption", the finale of The Breach Chronicles by Ivy Logan, is an intricately woven story with all the right ingredients to keep the reader hooked. Magical creatures with powers above human possibilities, intrigues, and conspiracies involving both supernatural and human, and a brooding quest between good and evil that will change the history of both worlds. And on top of all that, there is young love, with jealousy and self-doubt, bitter disappointments and uplifting discoveries.

Amelia, a “diamond princess”, a symbol of Peradora’s rebellion against its dictator, a girl who shares a bloodline with the most powerful sorceress of the magical realm. This girl is not even at the crossroads, she is in the middle of an intersection where countless roads meet. And with people and events rushing past her in all directions, how can she make the right decision, knowing that the world’s fate, not only her own, is at stake?

Amelia doesn’t have to fight alone. She can count on Adrian who has returned to fight by her side. But, as in every good story, it never can be so easy. Adrian has feelings for Amelia that she can’t reciprocate. Her heart belongs to Noah, whose life is even more complicated.

As more sorceresses within the Heichi clan start realising that Siobhan got absorbed by power so that it threatens to drown the whole supernatural world, some start helping Amelia. Alas, they also reveal the horrible truth that might make Amelia waver and overthrow the balance between the magical and the human realms.

“You don’t have to know someone for them to matter.” All the characters in “Redemption” have difficult pasts. Everyone knows what it is to lose someone you love. And all of them know that you don’t have to spend an eternity with those who truly loved you for your heart to know them. Grief breaks people. It also makes some stronger. Painful experiences can spoil one’s soul so it will remain forever rotten, marred with hate and wish for vengeance. But while always leaving scars, hardships can lead you through a winding road, where you’ll stumble and fall, many times, but at the end of that road, you will find redemption.

My favourite character is definitely Thirio. Raised in captivity, with no recollection of his family and never knowing love, care, and kindness except from books, he doesn’t follow the devious plan powerful Siobhan had crafted for him. Having written Thirio the way the author has done is a remarkable example of overthrowing accepted patterns and giving hope, without erasing all the blemishes.

Dark and insightful, "Redemption" is a perfect finale to the series. All the threads from previous books are weaved together. Not everyone got their happy ending. Not everyone got their redemption – not everyone deserved it. Those who did get a chance for a happier life received a handful of questions and unknowns with it. And we readers were rewarded with a delicious taste of a story masterfully told and graciously finalised. With possibilities of returning to the characters’ lives in the future.

“REDEMPTION” is the third book of Ivy Logan’s trilogy, “The Breach Chronicles”, a beautifully written magical saga full of unexpected twists and turns. It’s a gripping and page turning story where there is no single dull moment; quite the contrary! You’re caught up in a flurry of events, a war between good end evil, darkness and redemption, magical creatures and humans.

Ivy Logan is an extremely talented writer who, beyond her amazing capacity to draw a fascinating fictional world filled with magic, sorceresses and monsters, can describe in detail the jumble of emotions experienced by her diverse characters, and in so doing she provides a clever description of their psychology. She shows a remarkable ability to paint the feelings and emotions (love, hatred, jealousy, revenge, hope, and courage in the face of adversity…) that sometimes overwhelm her “Dramatis Personae”.

“REDEMPTION” perfectly concludes Ivy Logan’s trilogy, making the whole saga a real masterpiece. Hence, I give a FIVE STAR to “REDEMPTION” and to “The Breach Chronicles”, and I strongly recommend these books!

I have enjoyed every book in this complex, intricately woven young adult fantasy tale of The Breach Chronicles. Redemption is totally captivating and a perfect end to this dynamic series. I was first attracted to the series because of the strong female characters which have remained consistent throughout the series. Too often strong female characters are portrayed as abrasive or flawless superheroes. Not true in this story. The female protagonists are independent but with a dose of vulnerability. They are loyal, determined, and are willing to make the hard choices regardless of the danger to themselves.

The plots between these books are all so expertly crafted and intertwined, with well-developed characters that constantly surprised and amazed me. The multilayered themes go beyond good and evil to social injustice, revenge, jealousy, power, greed, friendship, and love. Logan is a masterful storyteller. I am amazed at the complexity of these stories filled with twists, turns, and a-ha moments. The pace remained brisk with something new to capture my attention with each turn of the page.

In Redemption, Amelia has escaped her gilded cage where she lived in in the palace of Peradora with the dictator, her cruel, evil uncle. She has taken a major risk to fight injustice and has failed. Many have turned against her. Noah lied about who he was. She feels alone and betrayed. Now that she knows who she really is and has finally embraced her true self, it has deserted her when she needs it most, leaving her vulnerable. Adrian and Noah have their own secrets. Who can she trust? How can she be a match for the dark powers who threatens to destroy her and everything she loves? How can she protect them and make things right? No spoilers here!

I highly recommend this amazing fantasy series. I look forward to reading more from Ivy Logan.

A Captivating Finale to The Breach Chronicles

Redemption: A Quest—From Vengeance to Redemption by Ivy Logan is a masterfully crafted conclusion to The Breach Chronicles series. This young adult contemporary fantasy novel intricately weaves themes of love, sacrifice, and resilience, delivering a story that resonates deeply with readers.

The narrative centers on Amelia, a determined young woman who, after challenging the Peradorian dictator, finds herself on the run with Adrian. Stripped of her shapeshifting abilities, Amelia’s journey is one of self-discovery and perseverance. Adrian’s unwavering loyalty adds depth to their relationship, especially as Amelia’s heart remains tied to Noah, who grapples with his own transformation and the dangers posed by the Heichi queen.

Logan’s storytelling prowess shines through her vivid world-building and complex character development. The plot is rich with unexpected twists, keeping readers engaged as secrets unravel and alliances shift. The emotional depth of the characters, especially Amelia, Noah, and Adrian, adds authenticity to their struggles and triumphs.

This novel not only concludes the series but also leaves a lasting impression, exploring the blurred lines between vengeance and redemption. For fans of the series and newcomers alike, Redemption offers a satisfying and thought-provoking read that underscores the enduring power of love and the human spirit.

Redemption

I received an ARC of this book, and am giving an honest review.

This third book in The Breach Chronicles by Fantasy Author Ivy Logan, is the best so far. The author has excelled herself with this new book.

It is a book of extremes, in that what we thought happened, is turned on its head, as though it was a mere figment of our imagination. Taking up where Metamorphosis ended, we see Amelia come to terms with many things, not least her new-found power. As the story progresses people from the past re-appear, but not as we knew them, we see the two worlds of humans and super naturals collide leading to disastrous consequences for some. Amelia is left with having to make some heart rendering and life-threatening decisions, ones that will test her resolve to its limits, including the realisation that those who were once friends, had now become adversaries.

Ivy Logan is a master story teller, her narrative is exceptional, as well as her imagery, in that each character is so vividly described, it is as though you have them in front of you. As with the previous books, she continues to weave the underlining themes of Love, Hate, Family and courage, which endure till the end.

All of her books are un-putdownable, and this one is no exception. This is Ivy Logan at her best. A brilliant read!!!

Having read the Breach Chronicles, what I anticipated, as this fantastic journey continued, is not what I thought. It is in keeping with the themes of love, animosity, courage, friendships, and overcoming the varied obstacles in the path to finding justice. Friendships, once strong and cherished are tested-it is here that an aha moment of truth, acceptance, and self-awareness comes to the surface. The battles brilliantly unfolded and the cause and effects, with their myriad of foils and victories reveal themselves! Our heroine had opened that proverbial‘Pandora’s’ box and its contents yielded battles to be fought-friendships broken-but, still endurance and courage prevail! There is something extraordinarily beautiful and inspiring about an author’s ability to weave such cohesive and fantastic tales. Redemption goes above the fantastic. Each character with their strengths and flaws are captivating and one can easily envision them in whole and part. They are that well developed! I remember meeting Ava in Origins and was drawn in and eager to discover more. In the end and many journeys hence, it is Amelia who begs my full attention. A page turning feast for every sense. Expect the unexpected (especially if you’ve already read the series). I am so extremely eager what Author Logan comes up with next! This book is worthy of greater than 5⭐️!

Redemption is a young adult fantasy adventure full of twists and turns as we follow Amelia, Katie and Noah, as they face many challenges and old enemies discovering secrets that have been buried for centuries.

It brings together the three story arcs of the previous trilogy, in an epic interwoven tale, where we see the characters, that we have journeyed with previously, collide in a place governed by violence and power. A place where dictators, rebels and even the Queen sorceress seek to dominate and control everything and everyone. We watch as the relationships both old and new forge the twines of their paths, bringing them together and sometimes tearing them apart, as they fight and flee from their enemies and even themselves.

This is the moment, the time, that will determine the future of Peradora and its people, the freedom, safety and hearts of our characters, and even the delicate relationship and peace between the fantasy and human world.

Will the existence of everything be defined by the mere strength of violent actions, or by the resilience of the entwined threads of relationships sewn through time, and the strength of the love in their hearts?

Redemption. A Quest by Ivy Logan.

5 Stars.

Sub-title. 5 Star Fantasy with Strong Female Heroes.

The latest in this magnificent fantasy series opens with a being raised in captivity in a dark castle. Is Thirio a beast or a man, human or something more? Compelled to fight to survive by a sorceress, will he ever know peace?

From this intriguing beginning the story expands and the reader encounters an array of rich characters, each clearly drawn and expertly brought together. The lead amongst these engaging people and strong female protagonists is Amelia, caring and protective, stubborn and determined. The reader is gripped by the story of her and her friends and allies as she and her people strive against the manipulative, paranoid sorceress Siobhan.

This is a tale of family and the tragedy of families divided, especially brothers. Tension is high as brother is set against brother. The encounter between Thirio—raised to be a beast—and his blood brother is explosive and haunting.

With fights, shifting alliances, possessions, power politics and danger, Redemption is a tale of sacrifice and renewal. The end is powerful, emotional and hints at future trouble...

I am passionate about Ivy Logan's writing and was thrilled to read 'Redemption,' the conclusion to 'The Breach Chronicles.' Ivy is a masterful wordsmith with the ability to pull the reader right into imaginative and well-developed scenes. This book is a roller coaster ride of adventure and heart-stopping drama with never a dull moment. One mischievous trait in Ivy's writing is how she gives us characters that we 'love to hate' and also those we 'hate to love.' She covers the full spectrum of emotions in their personalities as we watch the players in her story grow, falter, and learn. It may be possible to even 'like' the bad guy in her writing. She is that good. Not that there is a need for a fourth book in 'The Breach Chronicles Series,' but I, for one, would stand up and cheer should Ivy decide to write one. This novel deserves more than five stars, as it is a perfect example of creative writing at its finest.

REDEMPTION is a thrilling conclusion for all the characters I have loved reading in the Breach Chronicles series. This is very much a character driven work. I love all the characters for their interesting backstories, and love the series for the themes of selflessness, and sacrifice, and familial love. Amelia and Noah drive the action in this book and I also loved reading about Katie and Talia, Ana and Siobhan, who had an age-old power struggle as time-traveler and queen. Adrian, whose story captivated me from the very beginning, was a fascinating character as well. Each character had their own shades of gray, their own special strengths. They stay with you long after you finish reading. Every one of them was so well drawn with gorgeous world building and powerful writing. I have loved this series from start to finish! 5/5 stars.

With Redemption, Logan surpasses herself once more. Continuing where Metamorphis ended, we witness the progression of the story. The themes of love, familial bonds, and courage continue to unfold with expertly crafted twists and turns. Logan's prose is unmistakable: a rich narrative, embroidering subtle messages throughout. Her word-building is vibrant, and her character development is spot on. Once more, her fierce, empathetic, yet relatable female MC's have heart-rending choices to make. I still love Noah, and his growth throughout the book was perfect. I very much recommend this fabulous YA fantasy coming-of-age novel.

Having left Amelia desperately getting used to her newfound power, I was looking forward to catching up with her again. What I wasn't prepared for was the merging of souls that Redemption takes the reader on.

Worlds collide in this epic fantasy, and characters from the previous books return, altered, yet strangely, the same. The truth is a hard lesson, even for sorcerers. Distrust grows ripe, and so do secrets. This is a journey of souls that challenges past decisions, laying bare the need to forgive as well as vengeance. Answers are gained, and the end will steal your breath.

“Redemption,” Ivy Logan’s latest installment of “The Breach Chronicles,” her dark and imaginative fantasy series, is a compelling tale of intrigue, family secrets, betrayal, jealousy, and longing. There are ruthless villains, and many fascinating characters, with Amelia and Noah at the center of the drama. The writing is skillful and evocative, the plot pacy and edgy. It is a mesmerizing read and Ms. Logan’s best work yet!

Oh, So, Good!

OMG, this book is so excellent!!! It's the third, but hopefully not the final, installment in the Breach Chronicles. I've read and loved every book by this author, but each time I read one, it becomes my new favorite. This book was no exception. And the cover is so gorgeous!

Anyway, this story is an extremely satisfying conclusion to the series. I don't know how, but Ms. Logan managed to quench my blood lust for all the evil characters without shedding a single drop of blood. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ Now that is a talent. I love Noah and Amelia, but my favorite character is Katie. So I'm begging, pleading, please, can we get another book in the series? This time Katie's story?

If you haven't read this series, what are you waiting for? It's a sublime reading experience that will delight fantasy lovers of all ages. Enjoy!

Redemption by Ivy Logan is the third instalment in The Breach Chronicles, a YA Contemporary fantasy series. I really enjoyed the first two, impressed by the strength, resilience, and love that the central characters revealed. In reading Redemption, I was moved again and again as characters rose to meet seemingly insurmountable challenges, as from the depths of their brokenness, love surfaced and grew. There was a sense of hope and possibility in the depths of loss and despair.

So much of life is here in this third volume! It is fantasy grounded in the emotions and needs of reality. The author writes with empathy and compassion for her characters, recognizing the depths of their struggle and affirming their inner worth, and as they respond with love, they rise. This does not mean, of course, that life is suddenly easier, but they experience an inner peace. This is love that rises in brokenness, that endures and grows to become a compassionate love, a healing love, a love that could change a world.

"Don't let others decide your worth." (Redemption, p. 251)

One message I took from the book was that redemption involves a deliberate choice, and also a radical change. All, it seems, are able to choose redemption when they are ready to embrace the necessary changes. Yet not all select redemption. At one point, a character insists, "....I don't care about redemption....There was a time I yearned....I was so stupid...." Much has been eliminated here, to avoid "spoilers", but the individual is making, at this point, a conscious and deliberate rejection.

Who will turn from vengeance and find redemption? The possibilities are endless and often surprising. Youth can find inspiration in this story, schools can find discussion topics that really matter. All of us can reflect on our choices and grow from reading. I do recommend this book.
