As much as I loved this story, I was kind of mad when she just couldn't say no. Cause I don't know about you but if a man tells me for some men just her body is enough I would be spitting fire on him, not sharing his bed.
Still I enjoyed this story & their love making was dazzling. I think I just get wooed by tenderness. How I wish I lived back then when ever think was dealt with tenderness and passion & loyalty. Our days doesn't agree with me. Out of all the BDSM & erotica I've read I prefer this type of novels.

If she just set her grounds once.

It's a shame when the secondary characters are more likable than the main characters. I hated the main male character, Clay. He was despicable. Dev and Molly's love story was so sweet I looked forward to the chapters devoted to them, Clay and Reina not so much. This book will definitely go in my discard pile.

3.5 stars for this ZEBRA LOVEGRAM western, and it features two love stories for the price of one! Dev (Irish bountyhunter/sidekick and Molly (hardworking waitress) and Clay (bountyhunter) and Reina (cherished only daughter).

Clay and Reina are on the road most of the book, and experience a stagecoach robbery, New Orleans high society, and ravishings aboard two different ships.

Dev is falsely accused of murder, and falls in love with Molly who brings his hot meals to jail every day. She has a younger brother in need of a father figure, and her mom is deathly ill for no reason that figures into the plot.

For some reason, the prevailing euphemism for 💦 throughout the book is rainbows? This is an open door romance, but all descriptions are oblique and euphemistic with the exception of direct references to 🍈🍈 as this was published in 1990.

Retro hissy-rom bonkers in the purple prose, epic cross country adventure with many hijinks and dozens of rando characters kind of way.

Great story

Liked the book very much, although it ended too abruptly. I'm a fan of Bobbi Smith's writing and this one doesn't disappoint. Would definitely recommend to others who like this genre.
