Great social history of copper mining camp in Nevada's high plains desert. True American spirit, engineering ingenuity and immigrant complexity make this Great Depression and WWII era memoir of a kid, his dog and his friends a real pleasure to read and provide texture to a little known but essential part of our past and future.
