This was exactly what I was looking for: more in depth than the basic "these are the types of clouds", not so in depth as a full-on textbook. It has quizzes at the end of each chapter for self-testing your understanding. Plus, in these days of computer models and NWS replacing local knowledge, anyone who knows enough to be able to look up at the sky and forecast the next couple hours of weather looks like a wizard to their friends and colleagues.

Having always had an interest in Meteorology, I found this book to be an excellent overview on the subject. A good book for those looking to expand their knowledge.
