A powerful and spiritually satisfying novel from a compelling new voice about three courageous women who must confront the harsh realities of their lives through faith and prayer. Pam Lyons has a husband who places more trust in money and marijuana than in God. Yvonne Hastings is a minister's wife whose husband's infidelity and physical abuse brings their marriage to a crossroads. Taylor Johnson is a single mother who is looking for a good Christian man to help raise her son, but is unable to rid herself of the guilt left over from her promiscuous past. The secret of Taylor's child's paternity is the catalyst for the tumultuous relationship between the three women. Together, they will learn unforgettable lessons about love, forgiveness, prayer, and sisterhood.

I found this to be a very easy read and the story line was entertaining enough to keep me interested. The improper grammar usage was very disappointing and at times seemed very out of place. I was also very disappointed in the ending. It left a lot to be desired, especially when it came to Taylor.
An easy read. Kept my interest throughout the book. A story of 3 different women that ended up having a common core although they were truly strangers that brought them together and kept them together. Definitely a great choice for a bookclub suggestion and discussion.
This Novel is about three ladies name Pam Lyons, Taylor Johnson and Sister Yvonne. Pam is married to Troy who quits his job to become a record producer. One of Troy's singer name Lisa, Mr. Shane Bivens of Bonzai Records wanted to sign her to a recording contract, but they had to buy out the contract that she had with Troy. So Troy made three and a half million. They brought a house, cars, etc. After Pam found out she was pregnant. Next we have Taylor who has a son named Joshua by her Pastor Luke Hasting who was married and he didn't want anything to do with the child, because he told her to get an abortion. After Taylor lost her job with Fisk Rubbers and was denied unemployment she went to Ohio Job and Family Service office but after she found out the only way she could get Child Support was to tell who the father was, which she had promised him she would never reveal who the father was. So guess who got the letter? Yvonne was the First Lady and married to Luke Hastings. She started a group called Sister to Sister to help women to know how to get a real man. She talked to her husband about taking Joshua to the zoo or to get a haircut and he refused. She didn't know that Joshua was her husband child until she got the Summon in the mail and he still denied it until they went to court and she found out that the test came back 99.9 . I don't want to tell the whole story but I will leave you with "APPEARANCES CAN BE DECEIVING*.
This book is about 3 Christian lady of faith, love and hope wishing for the best in life Yvonne was a first lady married to Pastor Luke . Taylor young Christian lady got caught up in Pastor Luke cheating scheme got pregnant and became the church outcast because she refuse to have an abortion. Pam is the musician wife. Their husbands have different thinking of life, Troy musician , money, drugs. Luke pastor but is a cheater and a abuser, A really powerful read where it leads us unimaginable.
Good story! We may make this a book club selection. It is great to see how women can band together and help one another, even through difficult times. I love how the lives of the women were interwined together. Tiffany L. Warren is a new favorite of mine. I will be reading more of her!
Wow what a emotional rollercoaster. I types of situations we can experience as women are addressed here. Women are considered the weeker vessel but in God we are strong. A mind that praises God can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Such an inspiration.
I love this author. Tiffany knows how to craft Christian fiction with the right amount of Christian and spice. I love how she incorporates messages to her readers. I was encouraged by a message in this book.
Was really pleased to see how opposite ends can truly come full circle (I won't spoil it for 1st-time readers) however I was left more encouraged, even led to pray for others dealing with these all too true events in real life. A GREAT READ.
Prayer changes everything and that is exactly what Pam, Yvonne, and Taylor find out. Pam is a devoted wife and mother who loves the Lord. Yvonne is a preacher's wife who is on fire for the Lord and wants to be an example for the young ladies in the church. Taylor is a single mother struggling to make ends meet and who won't reveal the father of her child. Their lives have nothing in common except that they worship at the same church and attend the same sista prayer circle.
Pam is the catalyst that brings them together. She dreads going home because her husband is living a dream that is going nowhere, until he gets a multimillion dollar contract. The fortune solves part of Pam's problem; she quits her job, spends quality time with the twins, tithes at church, and prays with her new girlfriends on an extended vacation. Taylor loses her job and is forced by the Welfare Office to reveal the father of her child. Yvonne is dethroned when the truth comes out about her husband and she believes Taylor is the enemy. Pam pays Yvonne and Taylor to join her for a getaway on the beach. The trip, prayer and Godly intervention help these ladies turn their lives around.
Tiffany L. Warren makes her debut with this must-read girlfriend novel. She is a brilliant narrator, revealing wild things happen when you turn your life over to God. She researched topics such as domestic violence, drunk driving, single parenting, adultery and convalescing a long-term illness and developed characters in such a way that the story is believable. I've read several titles this year by Walk Worthy Press and the company certainly lives up to its name.
Pam, Taylor and Yvonne don't start out as the best of friends, but when it's all over, that's exactly what they will be. They will come to find that though things didn't start out in the best way, God has a way of fixing things. Pam has a husband who doesn't want to grow up, and is driving her crazy trying to break into the music industry. Though she has asked him time and time again, he refuses to come to church with her. It will take an accident and a near-death experience for him to realize his wife was right about God all the time. Taylor is pregnant by a married pastor in the church, who refuses to acknowledge or take care of their son. It doesn't matter, she keeps her head up and keeps going to church. Only God can fix her situation. Yvonne's husband is the father of Taylor's baby. Not only has her husband stepped out on her with Taylor, but he also has a daughter that is 23 years old that he has never told Yvonne about. When Yvonne makes Luke upset one night, he beats her to a pitiful pulp. She does manage to call for help and when she gets to the hospital she is really broken and battered. Yvonne eventually finds out that the baby that Taylor has is also her husband's child. It takes forgiveness, courage and love for Yvonne to forgive Taylor. These three women forge a bond that neither one of them thought was possible. But what they find out in the end, is that with God, anything is possible. Read: April 2014
All I can say is that is some strong prayer, faith and love going on to not only forgive but befriend someone who has betrayed you on such a deep level. I can't imagine... This book was written very well. I even felt a little bad for Luke when he needed his wife to speak on his behalf even though he did not deserve it. I didn't expect the turn of events to happen as they did in Taylor's life but it seemed to be in her best interest. Pam did not give up hope on her husband and stayed prayerful that he would turn his life over to God. I'm glad she showed him some support in his business and did not wait on him to take the first step before doing what was right. Loved this story of these 3 strong women who found strength and friendship amongst one another because they definitely needed each other. I would recommend to anyone who loves a good Christian fiction story.
I love Tiffany L. Warren. She always points you back to your faith and reminds you that there is more to a story than meets the eye. That's exactly what she did in this book. Can you imagine that your husband has an affair, and has a baby as a result of that affair, and you become friends with his mistress and now mother of his child? Yeah I can't either. But it's not an unimaginable as it sounds. The three characters in this book are all dealing with something that anyone of us can relate to. This story reminds you of the old saying, "God may not come when you want Him, but He is always right on time!"
What is it like to forgive the former mistress of your husband? What if said husband thinks he doesn't really have anything to apologize for since he is a "man"? What if you've been married to a man so long by his rules that you lose yourself? These questions I pondered as I read this book. Though it didn't end in the way carnal flesh would have it, forgiveness is definitely the key to this read.
Sisters Taylor, Pam, and Yvonne were interesting ladies that had their shares or trials and tribulations in their life and with each other. Where do you rate your faith? This books pushes Christians to be real with themselves and others. I have a favorite character but I will not say who because I do not want to spoil the book. There is one church lady that who fits the saved and sanctified stereotype. She could not be a part of the street ministry team. Let the church say amen.
not my typical read, but if I had to give an opinion. oftentimes our adult mask really can obstruct our relationships. As mentioned, we come open to God's guidance with a childlike approach, believing God for our expectations to come to pass, yet appreciate and enjoying the journey along the way...there's always a blessing in the the mist of a storm. If you look for it!!
3 "sistas" joined together by their church, coming from different lifestyles, each having to keep faith as they face life challenges. All three women have a strong faith bond and together they show how praying for themselves and their friends keeps their spirits alive and also shows what forgiveness is all about. It was easy to read and entertaining to keep interest throughout the book.
This book was awesome. I can relate to Yvonne in some respect. I love the discussion questions at the end and the fact that they include bible verses. I am going to search for more books by this author.
It was a interesting read. It really made me think hard about my marriage and my relationship with God. The situations in this book are real life situations and some of the subjects hit close to home.
I really enjoyed this book. Church people can be some of the most critical people. This book taught me to not be so judgmental and how to build a better relationship with God. Can't wait to read the next installment.
This is one of the best Christian fiction books I have read since the Left Behind series! I found this book when I was looking for something else. I read it in about 3 hours, it's that good! It has a Word for almost any situation, and I really like the fact that the sinner's prayer is included!
I love this book because it speaks reality!!!! The author realli explain and expressed some things to me as well. I absolutely luv this book and i would read it all over again!!!!!!!!!!
