I read this in my Rite Aid while waiting for a RX. The story was cute with some cute illustrations, but overall it was forgettable. It was the type of book that could be meaning for a child because he read it over and over with a parent, but not because of a particularly deep message or unique writing.
This is one of Sophia's favorite book. I have to read this book every morning. Love the color. Teaches about helping others. Sometimes those who you help always help you back.
Extension: Take the kids on a scavenger hunt. Chose something you want the kids to learn like: letters, numbers, etc hide them and have the kids find them.
This book is strange. Jake, the rabbit wears his turtle neck sweater up over his face. And a pig does cart wheels. Need I say more? It almost seems as if there are pages missing from this story.
