As I was saying on a previous review, living with chronic pain tends to make one a bit crabby at times. Actually, let's be honest, a LOT crabby and thinking is hard because your brain is constantly interrupted by the pain shouting "Hi there! It's me, PAIN!" every few minutes. This often derails your entire train of thought to the point of zero velocity. So a book like this with memorable quotes from people like James Herriot, Winston Churchill, and John Steinbeck along with charming and hilarious pictures of dogs doing one of their most favorite things in the whole world: going for a drive. Yes, second only to maybe getting ice cream, or peanut butter, taking a ride is an activity enjoyed by dogs possibly even more than the humans driving them around. There are dogs riding in cars, pickup trucks, and many on motorcycles. Some of the big ones even have their own sidecar! HAPPY MOTORING is a celebration that includes poodles in limos right alongside mixed breed terriers on Harleys, German Shepherd and guards in a security van, and Dachshund sleeping peacefully in a back window. Priceless. This a great book that you and your family will enjoy for years. Also a great gift for a friend in the hospital or someone recovering from illness. It is truly a heart warmer that will put a smile on your face even in bad times
