About the author

Aydin Mehmet Ali was born in Cyprus and lives in London. She is the author of Turkish Speaking Communities & Education - No Delight and the editor of Turkish Cypriot Identity in Literature. She has contributed to Modern Poetry in Translation Mother Tongues (2001) and Agenda, and her short stories have recently appeared in Crossing the Border.

Very beautifully written short stories. Loved the fact that the author expresses an urge to acknowledge and explore uncomfortable truths, personal shame, or conflicting societal identities.
