When local businessman Roy Thompson dies after eating a piece of cake from The Charming Moose Diner, Victoria and her grandfather, Moose, must find who poisoned their killer dessert!

Jessica Beck loves donuts, and has the figure to prove it. It's amazing what people can convince themselves is all in the name of research! For each recipe featured in the donut mysteries, a dozen more are tried and tested.
When not concocting delicious treats, Beck enjoys the rare snowfalls near her home in the foothills of North Carolina.
I love my visits to the Charming Moose and visiting with everyone. I love Victoria and Moose. I wish we saw a little more of their spouses and really when are we going to meet Victoria's Dad? The story line had a lot of twists and turns and a few laughs as well. I really enjoy the interaction between Moose and Victoria. A really good read.
This one, while still good, was a lot more predictable than the last two. I was pretty confident in who the murderer would be very early on, but still an enjoyable read.
A fun series with enjoyable characters and tight family bonds. The relationship with Victoria and her grandfather Moose is endearing. Interesting mystery.
I am only 27 ages into this book and already regretting picking it up. A man dies at the Bicentennial celebration and automatically it is assumed to be murder. And of course Victoria has strong ties (again) to the victim.
Too much filler. No substance. this was written by a New York times best-selling author? Victoria is portrayed as intelligent and a step ahead of everyone else and her grandfather is a bumbling "Moose".
Unfotunately I have 3 more of these books in the series to read.....
