This book provides clear step-by-step instructions to manually determine your location with a sextant using the various celestial bodies. However, be prepared to learn how the various charts are used in concert to perform celestial navigate in the middle of the ocean. I will need to review this book several times before I will completely understand the relationships between the charts, at the various stages of the process to accurately determine my position.
