This was a feel good insta-love story. It was really good though. Character development was great. Plot was good. I just wanted a little bit more. Just read the damn book.

The book opened with some crazy drama but after that situation was handled this was just a fluffy romance. Not that Sayori and Kyan didn’t have their share of individual and collective struggles, but overall the story was pretty low in tension. I liked the way that Kyan was intentional about affirming and validating Sayori. I do feel like there was a lot of telling about things that happened off page instead of us being able to see it unfold. And there were a few elements of the story that felt either unnecessary or at minimum underdeveloped that I would have liked to have seen more done with. But overall this was an enjoyable love story.

Good read

This was my first read by the author, but it won't be my last. Sayori didn't let what her ex did keep her down, and I understood her hesitation with moving on. Kyan applied that pressure and was everything she needed. I loved the relationship Sayori and DJ had. This was a good read and I would recommend it.

Healed hearts love better....

This is my first read by this author and it was good. I do not know if KJ or Kyan loved Sayori more. I think KJ's game was sleeker because he started with kisses on the cheek during his first meeting with Sayori. Hey, they say first impressions count. My heart broke for KJ though because he ultimately lost two parents. You would have thought that Kordell would have moved differently to ensure he stayed in his baby boy's life. Kordell's actions hurt Kyan and KJ. However, Sayori was just the medicine KJ needed to help heal his little heart. Storee and Calvin helped Sayori get her life back on track. Choyce was just added cuteness and became KJ's best friend.

Now, I am always down for a BBW love story especially when the man treats the woman like the Queen she is. Kyan treated Sayori like royalty and she deserved it after her cheating ex Jason. Kyan allowed Sayori to flourish because she was able to open her art therapy center and become a homeowner. He also loved her from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet. Although Kordell dealt himself a losing hand Kyan formed a small family with KJ and Sayori. KJ was able to have all the motherly loving he could handle. This is a good read with healing, steamy romance, and hints of urban. After all the healing you recognize that healed hearts love better.

I usually don't love insta love stories, but this one was perfect. I felt like the story still flowed so easily that I was able to grasp the couple and connect with them. Starting this story, we meet Sayori in the most heartbreaking situation. Seeing the person she loved cheating on her with no care in the world. She sees red and decides to comfort him with all her might. During her comforting him, she saw a side she had never seen before, and he put his hands on his side chick and Sayori. With him constantly putting his hand on her. She makes a run for it as soon as can. But we meet Kyan in a negative situation as well. Waking up to a call from his brother who had been arrested and in need of help with his brother. Putting him in a worried and fearful state. Sayori makes it to her sisters house and is there for a few days. Before we meet Kyan and the same space. When Sayori first meets Kyan, he is already uplifting Sayori and making her feel as beautiful as she looks inside and out. Ok, I loved this book. It was beautiful and heartwarming. Sayori and Kyan might have started off as "friends," but their love for each other was already so strong and deep. The tension and light flirting flew around them at all times. Their first date was beauty, for a man who hasn't given a relationship a chance before Sayori. He did beautifully, making her feel safe, secured, loved, and appreciated. He listens to both her and her soul and makes sure to reassure her when needed. I love them and how their relationship blossom. Also, Kyan is a certified kitty cat eater because when that man wanted it her would get it anywhere 👀. That man couldn't keep his hands off her, and I loved it. Sayori and Kyan 🫶🏽

This was the hood romance of my dreams!! 10/10!!

After her she catches her ex-boyfriend cheating Sayori finds herself starting over. She moves in which her Half sister Storee and her husband Calvin and meets Kyan when he and his nephew come over for dinner. She’s still healing from her last relationship both physically and mentally, so she decided that her and Kyan can be nothing but friends.
Kyan has been a part of that world his whole life but he values family above all so what happens when his brother one of two of his remaining family members is brought in by the feds. Kyan has to manage his two businesses, his brothers hustle and his nephew who’s only four. When he goes to Calvin’s house for a routine dinner and sees Sayori for the first time he know that even bruised that she is the most beautiful woman he’s ever met.

The vibes in this book are top tier everything about all the main characters is amazing especially my baby KJ he deserves the world 🥹

Sayori leaves a toxic relationship and goes to stay with her sister, and runs smack into her future... Kyan.

This story was really cute. It started off in a really dramatic way, and I was glad that wasn't how it kept going. Kyan was focused from the beginning, but he slowed himself down and gave Sayori time to get comfortable. I love a couple that can't get enough of each other, and these two couldn't. That was a plus. Sayori being in denial about that pregnancy made me laugh--girl, please! Lol. The side characters were great, I love supportive family. And the kids were cute. Kyan being a dad to his nephew was a really nice angle that gave him more layers. The inevitable breakup wasn't drawn out and it seemed like something believable; I liked that. Sayori was able to admit when she was triggered and acting out. The only thing that felt missing is that I wish when people write fat girl romances, they add nuance about what it means, in terms of describing their bodies, and their experiences. All I saw was Sayori's ex resorting to insults about her size because he was angry with her. But overall, very nice love story.

I barely made it through

I'm sorry but I barely made it through this book. I started swiping through to move it along because I just wasn't feeling it but I hate not finishing a book I start. Yori was annoying as hell especially for her to be psychiatrist. Sis needed to see one herself if she was going to keep being triggered and acting like emotional wreck when Kian did nothing to her a**. Kyan was cool but he just didn't do it for me. I have plenty more I could say to explain why I didn't particularly find it all that appealing but I just don't have the energy to do so. I'm just glad it is over.

Meh

This could have been really good if it was more to it. Firstly Sayori worked my nerves with her immaturity, her actions, thoughts everything was like a 13 year old girl finally talking to a boy, she annoyed me. The Treka situation that wasn't really a situation should have been left alone, throwing her back up out of the blue was ridiculous and made no sense. They said baby entirely to much, the story was kind of cheesy because nothing happened. I would have liked to know more about her and Storee father and siblings, some drama could have come from that end. Jason just dies or disappears and nothing. This was okay I guess, could have been better.

Loved

This book was so good. I loved Yori and Ky’s love story I just hated Yori had to go through that breakup with Jason. Jason got everything he deserved for being a bi*ch made nigga. I’m so disappointed in Kordell he could’ve gotten out in 20 years and been around for his son and instead he took it to trial and got life no parole but what really does it is him just abandoning his son not wanting to talk to him or even see him like what are you thinking? I’m glad he has Ky and everybody but it’s nothing like a parent’s love. I hope he will not regret it and I hope KJ doesn’t resent and hate him in the end. Again great read.

When You Find Your Strength!

Morgan Rose, good read! I love how Yori got her strength and had her understanding that she's worth it all. Kyan is such a good guy, he never thought he would never have a relationship that would mean something. I really love how Kyan took his responsibility of KJ and did what needed to be done. I love the sister bond also. Soree didn't play about Sayori but she also kept it totally upfront with her. I would like to know about Dillon though. Great Read!🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

My first but not my last

This was my first time reading anything from this author. This book came up in my suggestions, and I liked the synopsis and decided to give it a go. I'm glad I did! I loved Kyan. His heart was spilled on every single page. Sayori and Kyan both needed real love and found it in each other. Sayori had me wanting to love on her as well. Her heart was pure, and the way she loved on KJ just made my heart smile. She deserved all the happiness she could handle.

❤️❤️

I must say as quick as everything built between Yori and Ky it was really cute. The way the started out as friends I feel really made things much easier for them. KJ was super cute in his love for Yori and the way he displayed it and did not play about her. This definitely had me from the start. I can definitely read about Cal and Storee as well as Dylan and Jackson hell even Ivy. The way everything that brought her joy was linked to him was crazy, from the building to the house. It just showed how linked they were without even knowing for real. Definitely loved them.

Sooo cute

This is my first read and I wasn’t disappointed. The bond between sisters was phenomenal as well as friends who really was just family. Light drama which was a plus for me. The build up between the main characters was a joy to read because they really got to know each other. It’s always a plus when a man is there to empower and invest in his woman. All around good read.

A love made to happen

Through hurt and pain, Sayori and Kyan made it happen. They were each other’s forever.

Thankfully, Kyan was in a photo take his nephew in, and, Sayori fell in place as if was here's to do so. Kj needed stability and they gave it to him. His Daddy was a sucker coward for not talking to his son. It's not cool to decide once the child is in the world to mistreat, abandon, and ghost them bc you don't know how to emotionally step up.

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Well then, Kyan better get his woman by any means necessary!!!! Kyan Howard was definitely an alpha male for sure, but he was also very soft when it came to Sayori Monroe. I hated how they had to meet, with Sayori coming from an abusive relationship and all. However, it was like Kyan was her knight in shining armor because he knew instantly what she would be his forever.! When I say the relationship and the man was a vibe, it/he was a V I B E! Very good 👍🏾!!!

Second chances is especially what Yori
Got after everything her ex did and put her through..

Kyan had a lot going on with finding out his brother was going to jail and trying to raise his nephew he was not looking for relationship but that's exactly what he found he felt something for her and knew he wants more than just being a friend...

Sayori was able to start her therapy
And found happiness and family she needed!!!!

Excellent read

This was an amazing read. More on the love side than a gangster side. Very lil drama but very exciting. One shows so much love to the other it splashes on to others. I truly enjoyed this. Especially the intimate live shared by two. I highly recommend this read. Made you think and feel and wonder what if I could get the same love I'm reading about? This read will not be disappointing. .........................

I found myself laughing out loud and talking back to the book.

This was my first read of Morgan Rose and I am definitely a fan of her work and writing style.

awesome

Now this was a dang good book. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. KJ was such a sweetheart and he truly deserved a better father than the one he had. Thank Hod Kyan was there to pick up the pieces because he didn’t deserve how his father handled him. He loved him some Ms. Sayori and she loved him just as much. Kyan almost fumbled her, but they both needed each other.

Yearning for the Love of a Boss:

I enjoyed the story of these two people and I will invite my sister to read this book. I those this rating, because the book really deserves it. From the abuse and betrayal of her ex and the way Kayan accepted her with her face batter and bruised. Let her know she was still beautiful and to hold her head up and don't be ashamed.

sweet story

This was a great read. It had a little drama and a lot of love. I loved the sibling relationship and the fact that storiee and cal stood behind Yori in her time of need. I loved how kj gravitated to yori and how they filled voids in each other lives that they needed. Kyan had BDE he healed what was broken in storiee and showed how how to be loved the right way

okay read

The book was pretty OK. I wish you would add a little action to it but then I get this she’s coming from making a book about love romance. I wish we could’ve got a little more details on the storie and cal like she said oh, I wish you would tell me, but it never happened. It’s like okay lol

This was a really good book about love and healing. You had just enough drama, but it didn’t take away from the book. Two lost souls found and healed each other. Great job Ms. Rose!

Refreshing

You know what I loved about this BBW book, the author didn't make her weak. Yes she went through some stuff but she didn't beat herself. My favorite person in this boom was KJ🤗 I would love to read about him and Choyce as young adults....Good debut....Moon
