10 Minute Obedience: How to Effectively Train Your Dog in 10 Minutes a Day

Rate this book
10-Minute Obedience reflects the author's belief that daily ten-minute training sessions best suit a dog's attention span and lead to rapid learning.
This book is easy to use for the absolute beginner and yet deeply informative for those who have covered basic training and now want to make their dog as well trained as possible.
The text has the information most needed by the owner of a pet dog: how to make it reliably obedient and well-mannered.
The emphasis of this training method is on obtaining necessary control and good manners while maximizing the dog's enthusiasm by establishing training situations where the dog desires to cooperate.
Addressing puppy raising, manners, and management issues in addition to formal training, the text shows owners how to have fun and have success with their dog.

Good intro book to train your dog with a chapter on some common problems. One thing I didn't like was the author getting physical with the dog to show him what to do, i.e. Sit. I prefer the lure with a treat method.

3.5. Good book, full of commonsense wisdom. I'm still too lazy to train a dog right, though.
