I read this book when I was in the 9th grade. I friend of my let me read it when I saw it on her desk. It was my first time reading an adult romance novel of any kind and I must say I enjoyed it. My young adolescent mind went into overdrive during the intimate scenes in the book and I fell in love with the heroine in the book. It kind of empowered me at that time.
