I was ready to donate this, having to make some hard cuts in my collection.

I started skimming and got off on some interesting tangents. I had recently read a lot about the Scot-Irish in tracking down the Frazier on my Mom's side. There is pretty good coverage herein on all that. Tied into my Scot line is Rheinland Pfalz Palatinate folk who were in York PA in the late 1700's. I knew that much, but this book put that into a broader context that was stimulating.

Even if you are an Indiana native like me, you can perhaps get some good insights into some of your ancestors by understanding the old South.

Or maybe you would rather just read a good mystery?

Update: going to donate, it's good but getting serious about further downsizing.
