Hero: Michael Robbins
Heroine: Diamond Montgomery
Love Scene Level: In my opinion, leave it to your imagination

Being famous can attract crazy delusional people and in their mind, you belong to them. So what do you do, when they come after you?

Answer:
Run for your life!

Diamond is a popular Florida talk radio host. She talks about relationships. She's not a doctor, she only gives her opinion about different topics.

Her fame has attracted a delusional crazy fan named Clay. To him, Diamond was his woman and she needed to be with him. One day, he tried to kidnap her, but failed and he wind up in a mental facility. But somehow he manages to escape and he's coming for Diamond.

After hearing about Clay's escape, Diamond packed and left both her job and house behind. She wanted to get as far away as she can from the crazy man. During her escape, she has a car accident with the hero - Michael. To be honest, I don't see why the accident happened. It didn't seem right to me. But, I guess it was the author's way of making the hero and heroine meet for the first time. Diamond is the one that was driving crazy and hits Michael's car from behind. While Diamond and Michael talked about the damage to his car and insurance - Diamond thinks she sees Clay and gets spooked and bascially tell Michael to get her out of there and he does. The two of them winds up at his house.

Michael is a tortured hero. He's an ex-military man and cop, who's on leave, because of an incident that happen one night, while he was trying to stop a bad guy or at least he felt the man was a bad guy. That night, he had used his gun for the first time and it caused him to get in trouble.

Michael has lost his parents and shortly after that, he lost his daughter. His only child. His wife left him. She was having an affair.

To ease his pain, Michael turned to alcohol, but stop drinking, but still had alcohol in his house in a private room to remind him not to drink anymore.

I didn't see the chemistry between Michael and Diamond. It was like they were just thrown together. Michael was a man of little words. He would hardly say anything to Diamond. They barely was in the same room together. In spite of them being on different communication pages, they both had lust for one another. They both had sex on their mind.

Because of her car being left on the road for hours, when Micahel took Diamond back to get her car, it was gone. Clay had Diamond's car towed. Yes, he was following her and she wasn't wrong, when she thought that she saw him pass her and Michael up, when they were outside of their cars talking about the car accident.

She needed clothes, until her car was found. Instead of shopping for clothes, because she needed replacement clothes - Diamond had Michael on her mind and sex. She bought clothes that she felt would entice Michael. Keep in mind that Michael is a man of few words, but he liked the clothes that he saw her try on. Really!

Diamond and Michael have a fight, because of his sewed lips. She wants to know why he's so closed tight and he doesn't want to talk. He leaves and goes pay a close friend of his a visit. How they make amends. Diamond wakes up from sleep, she goes to the window and sees Michael naked. He went take a naked swim. Well this leads to sex between them for the first time. They have sex more than once in this book.

Sex didn't fix anything. To me, sex will never fix anything. Micahel was still a close up person. Diamond still had a hard time trying to get to him. He pushed her away. He didn't want her. He let his past cloud his head. To me, they shouldn't have slept together, until the man was in his right mind. Because again, sex doesn't fix anything.

Okay, let me end this review, because it's long enough. Diamond leave. Clay catches up with her at her house - he gets caught and killed. Michael somehow comes to his senses weeks later. He calls into the radio show to declare his love for her and in private he asks her to marry him.

Unbelievable story to me.
