Love Better: Recapturing the Power of One of the Most Misapplied Scriptures in the Bible

Rate this book
We are seeing--in the Church, on social media, and pretty much wherever Christians are interacting--division that looks very similar to the kind of division we saw in the Church in Corinth during the 1st Century. Within the context of the division amongst the Christians in Corinth, the Apostle Paul painted a picture of what true love looks like by laying out, what I see as, sixteen ways to love better. Love Better is a modern explanation of 1st Corinthians 13 as, not a wedding passage, but a powerful explanation of how we are supposed to love each other and our communities better.

An Enhanced Vision of the Boldest Choice

I can't tell you how many times I've heard Argon Chambers say: "Remember who you are". This book is a reminder that love is first a choice, followed by an action in alignment with that choice. We must as Christians choose love, starting in our own congregations, then extending to the community and further.
Thanks for the reminder of how hard love is sometimes, buy how much sweeter life is when we choose to share it with people.
This would be a great book to study with a small group where the point is to love better in a specific project.
