Disliked the female MC- presumptuous, borderline-psychotic over-thinking and that just put me off.

Reckless didn’t realize that was the name of the band

https://ladiikeiii.wordpress.com/2018...

>>Spoilers down below...•••••••• the way this book got me listen, it might not even be any spoilers, because I sure didn’t mention much of a spoiler, but only one situation that happened in book 4••¥¥ so beware before you read this or if you want to read it who cares. Don’t care because I earn it lol***** but thanks for reading anyway!

The author did an excellent job with this book. The story is good, I give her that but the girl in this book Andrea omg, she was so annoying this is why I rated this book a flipping three because my head hurt because this is how Andrea is listening.

As I’m reading this right, I’m like ***** get out of your head with your annoying self. So at the end of book four, here I am like ohhhh **** this getting juicy right, I didn’t want to stop reading though. As I was reading book 4, lol I said to myself I’m just going to finish book 4 and read book five tomorrow, but that’s not what I did.

Okay, continue to book 5 and read up to chapter 5 that’s where I stopped my head started hurting why? You asked!

Of course, I find out Jace wasn’t a cheater though I agree at first until chapter 5 that maybe should’ve run away because myself wasn’t sure if he had a kid and wife. Come to find out her annoying *** ran without figuring out the **** truth. Why? Because here she was again in her flipping head again.

This how this chick is listening.

She stays in her head like “ maybe I shouldn’t do this perhaps this stick should be removed, maybe not it will be there when I wake up. Wait, what if someone fall over it get hurt lmao, that’s how she is ugh!

I’m here like ***** just shut your *** Up even though you FICTION! I said I’m a rate this book a three lol because she’s (the main character girl Andrea, is annoying).

Because Andrea she is like in every part of the book especially twice with the same relationship * family situation she likes “why am I thinking of this my family needs me. I shouldn’t do this no OMG will I be okay? I cAnt think about my relationship issues at a time like this. I’m here like ***** bitch didn’t yo *** just said this in book four ****! Lmao!

Swear she got on my **** nerves. I couldn’t wait to finish this LONG book ugh lol!

P.S. I wish there were a story with Becca I liked her. And wanted to know more about her and Zane story!

Other news Andrea doesn’t get annoying up until book 3, that’s when she began to be a crybaby and whinny overthinking into everything second guessing things worried too much and fucked her own Life up!

But Jace has a lot of patience with Andrea; I do like that about him because though she ran away from him on so many occasions, he was still there. Because he loved and cared about her, and that’s who he wanted. In the end, I like that they came together in the end. That’s true love. Though, Andrea still annoying lol!

Oh yeah, I was still wondering when he was going to poke her everywhere when he mentions that in the book earlier. Not even sure they did or not! But lmao, at book 4 I didn’t even read the values in the wedding I was glad I was done.

I still want my book with Becca and Zane and even Amy!

The female main character, Andrea, is described as intelligent, confident and strong. She started out ok, but by the third book, she was fickle, insecure, and distrustful. Her reaction to anything upsetting is to run away from it and cut off all communication, never giving the chance for anyone to explain. The male character Jace is the epitome of patience and forgiveness, letting Andrea get away with deserting him when he had problems of his own. I hated Andrea by the end, and even disliked Jace for being so blind.

So many emotions.

I laughed and cried, but mostly yelled. I wanted to reach through the pages and smack the hell out of Andrea sooooo many times. I understand her need for plans and thinking ahead but DAYUM...get over yourself already. She couldn't allow herself to enjoy one dang minute with Jace.

And speaking of Jace...could he be more perfect. Swoon! I've loved my husband since the day I met him nearly 30 years ago and to this day I still get the young girl giggles if he simply kisses my hand, so I fell in love with Jace pretty quickly. At first I felt kind of bad for Sean but they just weren't meant for each other...and Jace was just tooooooo perfect. (smile)

I only gave this book a 4 because of all of the inner dialogue from Andrea...OH MY GAWD give it a rest would ya! She spent so much time over analyzing and over thinking EVERYTHING that it kind of turned me off at times and I found myself skimming.

All in all I liked this book a lot and would recommend it to my book friends. I've read several books by Ms. Ward and will definitely read more, I'm just sayin...

This set of books had all the necessary elements of a really good series, conflict/despair, emotion/fear, lapse of sanity, aching/breaking hearts, and a hunky, talented lead singer for the rock band Reckless.

Jace Richardson was a well-developed character who you fell in love with immediately and trusted to the end. Becca is the BFF everyone would love to have - fiesty, independent, loyal and loving. The weak link is the lead character Andrea Mercer, a college student who, at the end of the school year finds her life, her future and her dreams falling apart because of choices she has made. You could empathize and feel compassion for her except for her extreme narcissistic behavior which throws off the feeling of the story completely.

If this was my first Alice Ward read, it would probably be my last. Thankfully she has some really good books that take you to the edge and breathe life into the story, the characters and the reader but sadly this is not one of them but it could have been if not for the selfish, whiny Andrea. She wore me out.

I loved this series from beginning to end. Just spent the last 2 hours reading the rest because I couldn't put it down. Jace is so sweet and knows exactly what he wants from the minute he meets Andrea. She can't get out of her own head long enough to see what is right in front of her face. When she finally does, after a HUGE misunderstanding, they are able to start their life together.

Really enjoyed this series, but giving it 4 stars because I can’t help but agree with the other reviews. Jace was perfect in every way, but I wish Andrea was a stronger person. Her constant indecisiveness and blubbering crying didn’t make me sad for her. I like a heroine that is sensitive but strong...not weak with constant breakdowns.

Shallow

It's really hard to love a heroine who spends most of her time collapsed because she is collapsed in tears, self doubts, and recriminations. I found it difficult not to feel a certain sense of disdain about the main character.

Have really enjoyed other books by this author but dnf this in book 4. Andy was the most annoying female lead with a hair trigger on her anger who I ended up just wanting to throat punch.

Great series!!! I'm glad I read the boxed set. I love rockstar books. Jace was sweet and caring. At certain points I wondered he's too good to be true. This series kept me guessing on what was going to happen next. I'm not good with cliffhangers and these would have kept me up. Andrea was a bit flighty in the beginning. She seemed liked she didn't know what she wanted. But she get on me. Her character fit into the storyline and perfect for Jace. Sometimes you know just like that. This book has its steamy moments, don't think it's just plain, wink wink. I don't want to give away too much these are a series and have cliffhangers. Give them a shot. These are the first books that I have read by her and I am going to look into a few more. Enjoy!

I did enjoy the story of Reckless, and I have to say that I'm really pleased that I bought the whole series! Reading each part and then having to wait for the next one to be released really would've been far too much; each part ending in the cliff hangers that it did!

Andrea is in her final year of college, she has her life mapped out, right down to the white picket fence! This is how she works, how she feels safe and in control; she's even engaged to her high school boyfriend and keeping the long distance romance alive - or is she? Lately she's been feeling that maybe her and Sean have grown apart, the time and distance finally taking their toll, but maybe she just needs a trip home to assure herself that her life's on the right track.

Andrea works on the local college newspaper, and in the absence of the usual entertainment columnist, she's asked to cover the next Reckless gig and interview their lead singer, Jace Richardson. Unbeknownst to her, at the time, but she's already had a run-in with handsome, tattooed Jace, and has made a slight fool of herself, but she has a job to do and thinking Jace is your usual cocky rock band frontman, she sets out to prove her point, only to be totally caught off guard when appearances really are deceiving.

Jace Richardson is the lead singer of Reckless, a band he started with his mates in his garage some 6 years ago. He takes his music seriously and his band mates are like brothers. He's not your usual Rock God type; he doesn't have hoards of woman hanging off of his arm and he doesn't even have a revolving door in his apartment. What he does seem to have though, is a penchant for the firecracker from the coffee shop, and a chance encounter has him acting as the knight in shining armour to said firecracker, and he's finding it increasingly hard to stay away.

I really liked the character of Jace. Isn't he what every girl dreams of? He's passionate, not only about his music, his way of life, but also about Andrea, and he knows this from the first moment he lays eyes on her. Andrea takes her time to catch up with him, because she has so much baggage to take of. I must admit, there were times during the series that I wished I could reach into my kindle, grab her and knock some sense into her; she over analysed everything which could be a tad annoying, but essentially this is her, this is how she is, and it takes her lots of time to let go of the feeling of control and to just 'live in the moment'.

Overall, Reckless - The Series, is a good entertaining read and I'd recommend it. I devoured it over a couple of evenings, purely because I so wanted to know if they got their happily ever after, Jace deserved it and so did Andrea, after everything that they went through.

I love a story about Rockers/Rock Bands. This story fell short in that category. You had the "hope to be one day rocker, Jace" and his band. There was a rock concert at the beginning and then there was a rock concert at the end. and maybe a little something in the middle. But that is about it for the rock and roll. So don't read this story for its Rockers.

Jace is one of a kind all rounded good guy. Andrea - Andy - is a good girl. Kinda boring to be honest. At the beginning she is in a relationship with Sean. But it seems she really isn't into him anymore after 5 years. The long distance has done that.

She meets Jace. She Has to interview him. He finds out shes engaged. She passes out at concert. She wakes up at his house. and then it goes on.

I would say the story had an idea but it was lacking the bantering, the excitement and to me the development of it all. Im guessing the the moral of the story is to not plan out the future but live in the moment :)

Is this a good read. Yes. But I was hoping the story would be based more of the rock scene than the "paper" scene?

Reckless is an addictive page-turning read. I could not put my kindle down and it took 20 days to read the whole series The amazing characters of Andy and Jace as as simple and as complex which makes the essential question of trust explicably covered. The emotive situations the passion the uncontrollability of life is filtered throughout the story. With a great supporting cast, this has to be the best rock romance I have read in fact it's a romance book with a guy from a band, very little other than stereo-typical expectations is band orientated really so don't disappoint and buy this book - will be looking out for more books by this author - superbly written, with humour, feelings and oodles of passion and the sex..

Very much worth it.....

Oh, this was good....I have read many, many books ever since I bought my Kindle nearly 4 yrs ago but few have grabbed my attention as quickly as this story. I actually got it as to why Andrea was so hesitant and I love a man like Jace who knows exactly what he wants and doesn't give up until he gets the girl.
This story doesn't necessarily mirror my own life but it still warmed my heart in places and frustrated me in others just like real life can do. I do recommend this series. It is a quick read leaving you anxious after each part to quickly start the next. I thank Ms Ward for this good read and hope you enjoy it as well.

I'm glad I read the books as the entire series rather than individually. They were incredibly short as individual books. I honestly felt like even though the total book was average length, it dragged in spots where we spent parts totally trapped in Andrea's head. I also felt like there were contradictions within the story, and if they were supposed to be there, they weren't resolved properly. Also, I felt some things weren't resolved well. Entertaining, but not my favorite. I did like the rocker aspect, though.

Difficult to finish

The story was nice and he was not boring and lasted for 5 Series Sally can be boring however I had a problem with a female character. While in reality we may all be a little bit wishy-washy and I sure and thinking of it too much she was just too much that way . I didn't want reality I wanted a strong character a woman who knows what you want to wish going . I finished the books obviously this something there but I wanted more moral man more TrueSmart realism more strength of character from the woman .

This book was really fun to read and I couldn't get enough of it. Jace, Jace, Jace he may look like a bad boy but a diamond inside. I was rooting for him from the start and had felt a few times to jump into the book and give Andrea a good shake just to wake her up. How could she not know he was all in. Her second guessing him and their relationship drove me mental at times. Glad though that they were able to work through their differences and let love rule. A fantastic read that so highly recon mode

This isn't my idea of a fun series, but I still enjoyed it non the less. One of my issues was that the main character has an overactive mind, overthinking EVERYTHING. It didn't deter me but it did irritate me. I loved the fact that Jace NEVER gave up! I'm glad I was able to read this series all at one time, that helped. The cliffhangers in this series weren't horrible but if I had just read book 1 w/o book 2 I don't think I would have finished the series.

Some Good Parts...

...Some bad. I actually loves Jace's character, he was SO perfect. Andrea, however, got on my nerves with her whinny back and forth she wants him, she doesn't, she loves Sean, she doesn't. Sean came off as crazy and psycho. I can't even believe she ran away from six months without even confronting Jace or getting the truth. Smh as I said, Andrea got on my nerves. She was very naïve.
