While I will probably never use any of the interesting recipes in this volume, the author did provide a ton of information on the edible flower craze. I never knew that some of the flowers listed were edible, but I think for my safety and others', I will stick to having flower arrangements in vases and not plated. The book has lovely photos, great descriptions, accurate names (both common and scientific) and you can tell that she really did her research. There is also a listing of toxic flowers to be avoided, and some helpful tips for growing edible flowers in your own garden.
