The Winged Trilogy can be read as stand alone novels, but they are best enjoyed in Book 1: CROSSED Book 2: CLIPPED Book 3: CROWNED

Do you love reading books that make you feel like you’re watching an action packed movie? Then ‘Clipped’ is the book for you. It was soooo good that I didn’t want to put it down. I love how I can literally picture everything that’s going on. And, I’m really loving Trinity’s growth. I can’t wait to see what else is in store for her and Jayden! 👀
I absolutely loved this book! It was so full of action, I had to read it in one sitting...at work. I would definitely recommend this to people who love Acton packed fantasy!
When I tell you I remember EVERYTHING from the first I am not lying! I was worried I wouldn't remember, me being me, all forgetful and such, and always getting to the next book in a series far too late. Pleasant surprise to remember everything from the first book and find it gets so much better here. Action packed fantasies and romances either majorly hit me over the head in a good way or miss so far I vow to swear them off, but never truly do. This hit. Hard! In part was because of the characters, especially Trinity and and Jayden. Their relationship and chemistry is off the charts and made this book what it was.
Trinity and her beloved human mate, Jayden head to New York. Only to find that a bunch of crazed scientists are coming after her and her friends.
I think we all know I am NOT a professional reviewer but I will spill my heart out for this one. I cant say much but if you have read Crossed… GET THIS ONE! I mean you should already be getting this one but I can promise you, you will love it soo so sosososososo much! You will gasp and cry and jump up and down for Clipped.
Lynn you did an amazing job with this one. I’m so excited to start the third installment but I have to wait a little so I can Beta read one of you books. Jayden and Trinitys relationship is so cute and loving and I love how caring they are for each other. There is so much action and anticipation for what’s going to happen next. I was freaking out in the car and my aunt had to make sure I okay🤭🤭. Amazing job!
Trinity thought that the threats to her were behind her but unfortunately the drawings her boyfriend has made of her garnered the attention of a covert secret organization and on a trip to New York she finds a fellow traveler from her homeland who informs her there are three others who also are held captive by this organization and they are after her as well! Thus Trinity and her friends now know they have to save their fellow countrymen from these bad people!
There is action, excitement and suspense as our friends are pursued initially by who they think are bad people but turn out to be friends who are instrumental in reuniting all these captured countrymen of Trinity’s. She also finds another ally from a most unlikely source and all of them work together to stop this organization and it’s evil designs!
I have enjoyed this original series and I can’t wait to see what happens when Trinity and Jayden marry. The questions that abound now will be answered and I’ll find out if I was right about what I thought would happen!
I recommend you get this delightful series and read these two books so you’ll also be ready continue the series when the final book comes out!
If you’re looking for a good, clean romantic story with a few twists you wouldn’t normally find, I urge you to get these two books! I firmly believe you’ll love this series as much as I do and will be routing for Trinity and her friends to be victorious as the book races to its conclusion!
It’s a wonderful escape from the troubles around us at present and to me reading and seeing these events take place in my mind is so much more rewarding than sitting in front of the box with its inane programming which only dulls one’s senses! I would much rather have my mind stimulated by a good book I enjoy than the alternative!
Get these two books and see if you don’t agree that you feel better for reading them and that your outlook on life is optimistic again!
CLIPPED is the second instalment in Lynn Rush’s contemporary, adult WINGED paranormal/fantasy series focusing on nineteen year old Bolentian Trinity Dawkins, and the human she loves, twenty-three year old, artist Jayden Brown. CLIPPED should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up after the events of book one CROSSED.
SOME BACKGROUND: Days earlier Trinity Dawkins was found wondering the streets of Berg, Minnesota, a young woman without the ability to see or talk. Rescued by artist Jayden Brown, Trinity will quickly recover but for the strange scars that appear on her back. Falling for Jayden was easy but Trinity was unaware of the true nature of her DNA, DNA that would reveal hidden wings and someone else waiting for her back home.
Told from first first perspective (Trinity) CLIPPED continues to follow Trinity Dawkins as she relearns the who and what of her previous life, in the wake of another attempted abduction. Trinity is not the only Bolentian that has crossed between Realms, and in the wake, the EMA (Extraterrestrial Marshalling Agency), a rogue division of the US Government, is determined to take down, and take control of those they deem a danger and unworthy. On the run, on foot or in flight, imprisoned in a lab to be dissected and tested, Trinity and her fellow Bolentians must come to terms with a perceived betrayal, another suitor for Trinity’s love, and the potential danger everything and everyone poses to the man Trinity has claimed as her mate.
There is a large ensemble cast of colorful and magical secondary and supporting characters. We are re-introduced to Jayden’s agent , Zander; Detective Nicks; Trinity’s cousin August, as well as Bastian and Trystan, Sierra, Devon, Catherine, Shona and Easton; Romah from the Shentak Realm; and Jayden’s ex Grace.
CLIPPED is a story of discrimination and speciesism; betrayal and vengeance, madness and obsession, acceptance and love. The fast paced premise is action packed and captivating; the characters are numerous, powerful and energetic; there are no $ex scenes, the romance is mostly implied as the couple are rarely together.
I was so excited to continue this series and it did not disappoint!! Jayden and Trinity share such an interesting journey and it had me so captivated with how unique this story is. There is so much action back in this book that it kept me wanting to keep diving in further. This one hits hard in New York with Jayden bringing danger to them without even knowing it. We see Trinity get pushed in many ways that starts to trigger her instincts from before she lost her memory.
Trinity just keeps getting my confident the more she accepts that she wants to stay on earth with her Jayden. I feel so bad for Jayden cause we can see how much he loves her yet he puts her in danger without even knowing and has to cope with that. I was worried with some characters at certain points with betrayal. We meet a new character that tries to drive a wedge in between our duo by trying to tell Trinity what he believes she should do with her heart....can't say I like him that much! I love how this one ended and can't wait to see what's next!
This is the second book in the series. I highly recommend you read the first book before diving into this book. I did not read the first book first and was a bit lost throughout. Trinity found her way to Earth. Her human mate, Jayden, has drawn some beautiful pictures of her and her wings. Because they are so awesome, he has been invited to have a showing in New York City. When they arrive, Trinity finds another like her. In her search to find and help this girl, she finds more and realizes they are all in danger. Trinity, along with Jayden and their friends, must find the people seeking them and figure out a way to stop them. Opinion Even though I was lost for parts of the book, it was quite easy to become immersed in the book. The story is so consuming that it was hard to put down. The connection between Trinity and Jayden makes their story so much more appealing. I highly recommend this book (after you read the first one of course.) Many thanks to Lynn Rush for providing me an ARC of this book.
Clipped is the second book in Lynn Rush’s Winged series. While you can read it as a standalone title (I did), I’d definitely heed the author’s recommendation to enjoy them in order. Since I started the series with this one, I missed a lot of backstory that would have made this so much more enjoyable and helped me understand the connections between all the characters. This story is a clean fantasy romance with themes of jealousy, betrayal, vengeance, acceptance, and love.
The story is fast-paced and filled with action scenes. At times the details of the action scenes felt a little drawn out. That said, I believe the author wanted to portray an intense hunter/hunted scenario, and lots of fighting between good and evil was necessary.
All in all, this book was an entertaining read, and I look forward to the next one in the series.
I was given an ARC of this book from the author for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
After dealing with her controlling pseudo mate, Trinity is living in the human realm and learning as she goes with her chosen Bolentian family and her Jayden - and it's flippin' sweet how she always calls him "My Jayden." In this book, her Jayden get a big art show (from painting Trin and her gorgeous wings) and the gang is off to the big city, where danger lurks and new friends show up. But are they really friends?
I wasn't a fan of Trin and her Jayden being separated for the majority of the book. but it had to happen to introduce "the big bad," and for Trinity to realize her worth to everyone, not just her cousin or Jayden. And that ending! *swoon* I can't wait for book 3!
I was given an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Caught in the middle of a desperate interstellar battle between humans and other Realm beings like herself, Trinity must tap into the deeply buried instincts as a super-skilled Bolentian Guard or lose everything she’s come to love.
I absolutely love Jayden and Trinity's relationship, they're just so cute together. The second installment of the Winged series is action packed and full of anticipation.
That ending as well! I can't wait to get my hands on the third installment, Crowned! I just need to see how the series ends! Well done Lynn, you did a wonderful job!
I loved this even more than book one! Trinity is settling into life on Earth with Jayden when they head to New York for an art exhibition, and run into secret government scientists who try to capture Trinity. More people from her home realm have crossed over as well and now they have to rescue the captured and shut down the scientists' facility before they destroy everything.
I'm really excited about the last book of this series and can't wait to see what happens.
With most series the next books after the first one can hardly compare to one another, but I have got to say the second book is just has good has the first!!
