I received a copy in exchange for a review. Honestly I’m not a fan of getting back with your exes. I felt it was a tad rushed and was a tad confused about certain parts. I don’t think I was able to connect with the character which may explain why I wasn’t super into this book. The ending also felt a tad rushed and I wished it was longer to make it feel a tad less rushed.

I did receive an ARC from the author but I also received a copy of this book via the Kickstarter campaign that author ran.
This is my favorite book in the Creature Cravings series. I absolutely adore Rosie and her chemistry with her ex, Otto, it is just perfect.
I loved getting to know Rosie better, to see what motivates her to help others the way she has in the other books of the Creature Cravings series. Meeting Otto was just like seeing an old friend after some time apart. He felt familiar but new at the same time.
Did they fall for each other again quickly? Yes, but then again they never truly fell out of love.
Were there some k1nks in this book that I had never read before? YES! Was I unsure if I would enjoy reading about them? Also, yes. Did I enjoy reading about them? Absolutely, yes! Even the blood play which is the one I was truly unsure about at first. But, I think the author handled it very well.
So in Bite we meet back up with Rosie and Otto after the events that took place in Blaze, which is Kiera and Asher's story. (Highly recommend reading it first!) At the end of Blaze, Rosie and Otto realize that they can't be more than 10 feet from each other before the bond snaps Otto back to Rosie's side. What they don't know is that this bond is doing things that may cost them their Second Chance HEA.
Throughout the book the author successfully has us wondering if the HEA will actually happen this time, will they find a way to break the bond before it is too late?
As someone who has been reading this series from the very beginning, talking ARC of the first book, I am thankful I knew that this series comes equipped with a guaranteed HEA or my bookish anxiety would have runaway with me. Granted it still did a little since Rosie is my favorite character.
Now let us get to the part you all have been waiting for THE SPICE! The spice in this book was next level and what else would you expect from a vampire/witch romance. There is blood play, biting and even the occasional magical s3x ritual. It'll leave you satisfied but at the same time CRAVING more! The spice in this book does come with the warning of do NOT take the content warnings lightly.
I absolutely adored the way they came about finding the solution in the end. I also loved getting to know Marigold, Rosie's assistant, better and I truly cannot wait to read her story once Rachel writes it!

I have awaited Rosie's story since this genius of a creative began her Creature Cravings series.
These books are a HEA *spice filled* delight that are an excellent options in between longer heavier reads or just as a fluffy holiday tagalong.
Otto and Rosie get their second chance and woven through the story are aspects of self-care and finding security inward and outward when those around you are a safe space.
Loved this installment and ready to hop into the next one!

I truly enjoyed the story of Octavius and Rosalen. It was just as beautiful as I imagined from the time it was mentioned in the previous books.
The love these two had in the past, and the fact that it just literally picked right up where they left off is super cute 🥹
The way Otto displayed Rosie *chef's kiss* He was seriously everything you expect from a vampire ✨️
And let me just say, that spice was spicin' 🩸 Chapter 9, you are welcome!

Oh man, I LOVED this craving! 😍 the vampire and witch dynamic was so hot 🥵 top tier extra dirty spice as expected from Rachel’s creature cravings! The always guaranteed HEA had to be worked hard for in this one, I was sweating trying to figure out how it would happen for them! Bite is def tied with Haunt, if not my favorite craving yet!

What a fun, quick read! Perfect for the last couple weeks of spooky season! I flew through it! The relationship between Rosie and Otto was fun! Could you imagine not being able to be more than 10ft away from your ex or they come snapping back to you… literally?! Will they get their second chance for a HEA?! Read it to find out!!! I loved the story of f Octavius and Rosalen. This Novella was a fast-paced paranormal romance that ends in a HEA.
There is magic, Vampires, Second chance romance, delicious spice, and a few twists along the way.

Bite is part of an interconnected standalone series. This is my first book my Rachel H. Drake, and it will not be my last. I am planning to go back to the first book in this series and start from the beginning.
There is a HEA, BUT, it was a hard earned HEA.
This was a quick and easy read, I was kept on my toes for sure.
I enjoyed reading Bite; my emotions were all over the place. I liked our main characters not being able to be more than a certain amount of feet apart from the other.

I really enjoyed this! This was a quick read that I could really sink my teeth into (haha). I loved these characters and the plot. I'll definitely be reading more from this author.

And that spicy scene that got me to pick up the book did not disappoint!
