I was looking forward to reading in detail about the MP’s expenses scandal in an unbiased, authoritative book.
What I got was a book too focused on making political points on an uneven level. Yes the Labour Party were in government and they ought to have received harsh criticism and they did, however, this expenses debacle had been going on for years and the book shouldn’t have relied so heavily on who was in power when the lid was finally lifted.
I should like to point out that the staff at The Telegraph must be covered in bruises the amount of back slapping the book gives them thanks to the ‘neutral’ authors…….not.
Overall, this book was a missed opportunity to highlight a political scandal ALL parties participated in in an unbiased manner.
