Eh, it's not a book I'd write home to mom about. Instead of a conjure book written with Wiccan/Pagan elements in it, it was a Wiccan/Pagan book with conjure elements. Unless you've read enough under these genres, you might not catch it. Also, unless a reader is more comfortable with Scott Cunningham or Marian Weinstein's writings, that person may walk away from this quick 48-page read feeling the book is...well...let's just say, too suburban.
I'm not saying the book can't be useful. There were some basic recipes on how to make your own essential oil blends, scented lotions, powdered incense, and floor washes in there (that's a cost-saver), but everything feels fitted for the modern witch in mind. The information feels borrowed...or appropriated. Neither am I saying that the spells wouldn't work. They just feel dishonestly gotten and neutralized without the understanding shown of where they came from...just a little naive optimistic positive-thinking talk sprinkled in, courtesy of the New Thought movement. Most of the symbolic elements weren't even explained...you were just expected to blindly follow directions and fully believe. That's not good. This is magic, not religion (nevermind that there are religious influences there).
In short, it feels like watered-down Afro-American magic, fit mostly for newbie Euro-Americans who may not be able to deal with authenticity.

My name is Bocheng Mei, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to Chief Ade for completely transforming my life. Just a few months ago, I was facing serious financial difficulties and had almost given up on the idea of a better future. A close friend introduced me to Chief Ade, and after speaking with him, I decided to try his spiritual help, even though I was skeptical at first. He performed a powerful ritual for me and gave me specific instructions to follow. To my absolute shock and joy, I ended up winning the 60 million lottery jackpot not long after! I still wake up every day in disbelief. Chief Ade, your spiritual powers are truly beyond explanation. You’ve changed my life and the lives of my entire family. I’ll forever be grateful for your kindness, wisdom, and powerful gift. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.” — Bocheng Mei. WhatsApp +234 901 380 6328
