of aviation,
there is no way a bee
should be able to fly.
Its wings are too small to get
its fat little body off the ground.
The bee, of course, flies anyway

February 19, 2025A straight novelization of a DreamWorks animated movie, this is just as silly as you would expect, though seemingly quite faithful to the original. Many of its plot beats work less well in written form than they probably did on-screen, and the whole thing is of course absurd. Nonetheless, it is a quick read and reasonably entertaining, including color plates so you can picture the characters as intended. Read for a highly-specific prompt in a bee-themed challenge.

I firmly believe that this novel of 139 pages in length will be remembered as a significant piece of literature which describes loss, joy and love in my opinion better than any author in history. The depth of this book is unprecedented and the endless extended metaphors that are used really convey a meaningful storyline. It is extremely interesting to view humans as antagonists here as often in modern day culture bees themselves have connotations of pain and injury as a result of their stings, however we have an insight into their world here which totally changed my view on these insects.
This story is so unique and amazing that my favourite politician himself : Donald J Trump plagiarised a section from it (look it up).
In conclusion this is a fascinating read that will widen your knowledge of animals and the human race as a whole. Please read.
