Small Spaces by Rebecca Tanqueray

Rate this book
This book is about making the most of the space you have, whether you live in a one-space apartment, or have one key room that's just too small. It includes case studies of real homes showing how clever use of decorative elements creates a feeling of space.

I liked the structure of this book on that it is divided between some examples of successfully designed small spaces to provide some inspiration, followed by a tour of different rooms/areas with a summary of ways in which you might adapt the space to make it feel bigger. Where I was disappointed was that you really needed to be building or reconstructing a home to make the most of the ideas and either of these would require a substantial budget to achieve. All the ideas are in show-home type settings lived in by obsessively tidy people!!
