Rome: A Standalone Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance

Rate this book
He’s my husband but also my enemy.

Rome Ricci, the heir to the world's most ruthless mafia dynasty, was the first boy I ever loved.

He was confident, strong, and I knew he would protect me.

I should have known better.

He once ignited desire, but he shattered my world with cruel betrayal.

I swore to myself that I’d be free of the shackles of the Ricci family.

Until I was forced into matrimony by the don. Now, escape becomes a luxury I can't afford, especially with my mother's safety hanging in the balance.

As I navigate this forced union, the forbidden allure of Rome threatens to unravel the boundaries guarding my heart. Will I emerge unscathed, or will I be consumed by a tempestuous love that refuses to die as the line between enemy and husband blurs. Only time will reveal whether Rome is my salvation or my ultimate downfall.

Rome is the fourth book in The Prime series. This novel focuses on Rome and Sofia and can be read as a standalone with a HEA. For better understanding of the world of the primes, you might want to read the other books first.

This is a spicy Dark Mafia, second chance romance, forced marriage, and enemies to lovers with adult themes and triggering content.

I tried,i really did……but this one didn’t do it for me,at all!
I’m sure it was meant to be more than i thought it was,and i’m sure there are readers that dó enjoy it.
Maybe i should’ve started with the first in the series, but i didn’t feel like i missed much.
The characters didn’t do it for me,and because i couldn’t get into the story, the typos i found started to annoy me.
I think it’s safe to say i won’t be reading the other stories in this series.

Sofia and her mother live at the compound of Rome’s father after being saved by him,but it feels more like a prison to Sofia.
She’s not allowed any friends, and her mother is coerced to become the mistress of Antonio just to keep Sofia safe.
In the meantime,Sofia’s dream comes true when Rome takes an interest in her,and they end up sleeping together.
And then he dumps her like a hot potato…..why??
Because he overhears his parents fighting because of what Sofia’s mother does….and his mother tries to kill herself afterwards.
He spends the next few years fucking other women, and she spends them nursing a broken heart.
His hate for Sofia lasts until his father orders him to marry her.
At first their bruised hearts are in the way,and it seems the “hate” they feel is standing in the way of a decent marriage.
But then, slowly but surely, the truth comes out…..enemies become friends, and hate turns out to be love.

The MCs meet in high school. The fmc is held captive with her mom at his dad's compound for "safety". They have a relationship until the mmc thinks she betrayed him. He ignores her, doesn't talk to her. She finds him with OW. He continues that fwb relationship with ow for years until she dies for some other betrayal from a previous book. He’s still mourning her and his thoughts are of how great the sex was blah blah even though the betrayal was so bad.

Now, he's being forced to marry the fmc who even though they live on the same compound haven't talked in years. She's had to watch him parade women around while she's stayed celibate. 🙄 Even though he said he wouldn't cheat on her, on their honeymoon he sees someone on beach and all those thoughts go out the window. But he couldn't get it up.

"I took my vows seriously, and although I detested her, I made a commitment to remain loyal to her and honor her."

"Then I saw a hot island girl, who beamed at me. Her eyes traveled down the length of my body, which had my cock twitching. Fuck being loyal. I’m horny as fuck and I need to get Sofia out of my head. “Hi, Mr. Ricci. What can I do for you?” I would like you to suck my cock and put me out of my misery, I thought, but I didn’t say that out loud. Instead, I flashed her a charming smile. “Call me Rome, please.”

Unfortunately, the fmc had bbs, didn't have much of a backbone and was a doormat.

The main plot with why her and her mom were hiding was kind of interesting, but it didn't really go anywhere and goes into the next book.
