A great book for beginners, Russian Grammar provides readers with everything they need to understand the basic structure of Russian. The book starts off with a quick review of Cyrillic as well as its cursive form in a fashion easy for people to understand even without knowing the sounds of Russian. And after that, your skills are put straight to the test as there are no transliterations. The book does a great job giving numerous examples of how different grammar points are used, as well as what the rules are. With all rules and examples broken down into an easy to understand and quickly implementable manner. The sentences given as examples are at a good level for how far you are, although you will likely need a dictionary as only a few vocabulary words are given, most others needing to be figured through context. I would recommend Russian Grammar to anyone who is curious about Russian and would like a basic idea of how it works or even just to learn some basic Russian.

This reference work for Russian grammar is a more valuable book to hang on to than a textbook on Russian would be. It breaks the complex Russian grammatical system down into neatly-indexed sections, which can be quickly used in preparation for tests, as an assist for homework, or as a memory-jog in preparation for regular use of the language. This version is written for native English-speakers with some grasp of Russian, although a creative teacher could probably build a syllabus using it instead of a standard textbook, since all levels of Russian, including an intro to the cyrillic alphabet. It is not designed to be a pedagogical tool, so much as a grammar reference, however, so this would require more work on the part of the instructor.

Good for consulting the basic principles, although they aren't very well discussed. Some exercises included. For your Russian grammar help, I'd recommend consulting Terence Wade.

This book can be a bit overwhelming in the details, but overall it makes a great English reference for that tricky Russian grammar! Contains grammatical exercises & answer key.
