This history series for elementary kids is REALLY good. I appreciate the variety of stories from around the world, while still focusing a little more on western civilization - because that is who it was written for. I have her high school books, but we found an extremely inappropriate story in there and it has completely ruined the entire series for us. It was appalling and disgusting and I'm not sure why anyone in education for teens would ever approve of that. Plus, her political ideology has really infiltrated the brand recently, and although I really don't care what her ideology is, it is a shame that she couldn't keep it separate.

BUT we have read these books for years and we will continue to read her original elementary level books. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time I've read this one with my kids.
