Stella Bixby is a native Coloradan who loves to snowboard, pluck at the guitar, and play board games with her family. She was once a volunteer firefighter and a park ranger, but now spends most of her time making up stories and trying to figure out what to cook for dinner.
This is one of my most favourite mystery series and I'm always excited when a new Rylie Cooper mystery hits my Kindle. I thoroughly enjoyed sneaking with Rylie through the mineshaft in search of a killer...or ghost?
It's really a pleasure to have a book you look forward to reading every day. I really enjoy the Stella Bixby mysteries with Rylie Cooper. Great stories, keep me entertained, love the characters and the mysteries are great.
Rylie Cooper is a park ranger with a habit of finding dead bodies in the parks she patrols, and then finding out what happened to them. In this, the 11th book in her series, she has been assigned to lead tours through the abandoned gold mine owned by her city’s parks department. True to form, she discovers a dead body in the mine, and in the course of her investigation, she nearly gets killed herself and she discovers who has killed the four or five people who have been killed in that mine. At book’s end, she has to make a decision about her career direction, plus she has reunited with her longtime sweetheart, Luke. Evidently there is one final book to come in the Rylie Cooper series, and I look forward to reading it.
Riley is still working for the city, but giving cave tours in a mine. To top that off, it’s haunted! When you add in a dead body or two, you know Riley is in her element. This was another great installment in this series. I was glued to the pages from start to finish! Love this series!
Haunted is the eleventh book in the Rylie Cooper series.
Rylie is working the night shift doing haunted cave tours in an old gold mine the city owns.
During a tour, Rylie finds a body in the exact position one of the original owners of the mine was found in over 100 years prior.
When Rylie finds another body just a few day later, Rylie is on the case as her job also entails a liaison with the police department as Rylie has been helpful with cases in the past.
The long term developing romance that has been building up since book one finally comes to a head. It's nice to finally be able to close the speculation on that one as to whether they will get together or not.
I read this book as an Advanced Reader Copy and all opinions are my own.
Received the second book as a freebie, then went back to read the other 10 in the series. Loved following Riley in her job as a park ranger, surely not as dangerous as a cop carrying a gun.. She's outside in the park what could go wrong? Check it out and don't miss the free stories included at the end if some of the books for insight into the characters. Only sad part having to wait for the 12th book to come out. Till then I'm checking out the other series that branch off this one. Great Read!
When Rylie ends up doing tours of the local gold mine, she is told, of course, that it’s haunted. Either way she thinks it’s creepy! I would too for various reasons. There’s been many people who died in the mine, supposedly trying find the gold. The rumor is that the ghosts kill anyone doing so. But can ghosts kill? Guess we’ll find out!
The mines can be deadly especially with a killer on the loose. When Rylie starts giving haunted mine tours, nothing prepares her for a murderer or that she is going to have to team up with her ex, Luke, to catch a murderer way more sinister than she has ever encountered. An amazing read.
I love this entire series! The friendships, the family, relationships and in this book going through the emotional roller coaster of Rylie and Luke!!! unforgettable hauntings and a true crime fighter ending!
Rylie has her work cut out for her as she tries to solve this.gold mine mystery . Love has come full circle for her and it is time to get honest with her self about her mess of a life. Growing up is hard to do but sometimes just surviving is harder.
I did enjoy this cozy mystery with Rylie Cooper. The mystery is intriguing especially with all the challenges of figuring out who did it. I had enough clues through out to have a chance to figure out possible suspects and what might have happened. There is slight language and innuendo.
Loved, loved, loved!! The mysteries are so good and I am not able to guess the culprit. I love how the romance ended in this one! I am getting sad there is only one more book left to read.
