It's said that good things come to those who wait -- and that's certainly true for anyone who owns an electric crockery slow cooker.Working cooks and busy parents can relax. Most recipes just combine all the ingredients in the pot and let you simply walk away while dinner simmers throughout the day -- or overnight. Delicious family suppers become a snap with The Best Slow Cooker Cookbook Ever Contemporary recipes include appetizers and snacks, soups and chowders, chilies and stews, chicken and meats, vegetables, side dishes, and condiments. Spanish Chicken with Olives, Spicy Pineapple pork Chili, and Apricot Glazed Chicken are just a few. There's a chapter that's "Mainly Meatless" and one that offers a sumptuous variety of desserts -- Chocolate Raspberry Strata, Berry Peach Cobbler,Lemon Cheesecake -- and hot drinks.

Every recipe I tried was delicious ! I use this cookbook all the time! It is the only one I go to when I break out my crockpot. Easy to read and each one turns out amazing...seriously! Some of my favorite recipes: Beef and Vegetable stew (I substitute V-8 for the canned tomoatoes), Winter Beef stew with Apricots and Prunes, Old-Fashioned Sunday Supper....So Goooood! Just to name a few of my favorites.

Even though the cookbook is from 1995, most of the recipes still hold up. The author seems to use a lot of fruit in her dishes, which don't always sound appetizing. I might try some of the dips - Chile-Cheese Refried Bean Dip, Hot Spinach Cheese Dip AND Party Bean Dip.

I get cookbooks from the library as usually there are just a few recipes that I want to try. If the cookbook is really good I will purchase it. This had just a few recipes I wanted to try.

Nice little spiral bound cookbook with a good variety of recipes. The Double Chocolate Orange Pudding Cake was a triumph, although you couldn't detect the carefully grated orange zest at all. I say, no grating required! Call it double chocolate pudding cake and that's that. Fluffy clouds of rich smooshy cake floating in a sea of liquid chocolate deliciousness. What more could you ask for?

Finished Natalie Haughton's book 'The Best Slow Cooker Cookbook Ever'.

Typical cookbook but well thought out in nature.

Would I recommend this book to other: yes. Would I read it again: yes, but that's because I love cookbooks.

I wouldn't say it's the best slow cooker cookbook, but it's a very good one. The chicken recipes in here are great, and most of the recipes require minimal prep and are very weeknight-friendly.

Great book for families or people who are slow-cooker addicts. No nutrition information.
