This book was mainly review of topics covered in the actual classes I took, in order to make a smoother transition to reading their later books. I'm glad this series exists and has a community of learners around it, but as someone who has read quite a lot of language textbooks, I have to say that in some ways, it is merely adequate. Sometimes the example sentences for a grammatical construction are quite odd, not something you can imagine someone saying. And worse yet, the material doesn't really build on itself. Each chapter only covers one grammatical topic (rather than a mix of multiple topics plus vocabulary, which I would consider the standard approach) and the material from previous chapters is not consciously woven in going forward. So, having learned a construction, who knows if you'll ever see it again later in the book. The standard approach obviously requires a huge amount of planning and strategizing on the part of the authors, but it works. I might go back to the KLEAR Integrated Korean series.
