Part of a three-volume study of the military events and lessons of major international conflicts. The series covers a range of topics from combatants and terrain to chemical and nuclear weapons. This volume covers the first naval battle and the only Soviet military defeat since World War II.
Very good reference, although all three volumes could use a corrector. Also, at some point it starts to be annoying to do all the math in your head to convert from all the different measurement units used by the authors, as these seem to have just been taken from the sources without providing a reference in one measurement system.
Two of the clasic post Cold war conflicts with an unpassionate and multilevel aproach. Spread with objetive notes and points of view as Mr Cordesman uses to analize and write. Interesting work and easy to read. Higthly recommendable
