Clearly written with emerging readers in mind. Due to the redundant features of this book it reminds me of the mind-numbing fare thrust upon first grade reading groups. The theory is that predictable text will ensure success for young readers. That may will be but don't we want more for our youth? Why not present them with an exciting text at least slightly above their reading level so they are motivated to learn how to read because they are intrigued by the story?
