Since letter writing has gone the way of the computer and messaging this is a nice reminder of how it is done and what goes into a handwritten letter to someone. I would recommend this as a great teaching aide for teachers to show elementary children how to write a friendly letter to friends or family members far away. Carries over to writing letters on computers and the book could probably have a second edition showing how it is done on a computer screen using complete sentences and punctuation again.

How to write a letter is a book about how to teach young students how to write a friendly letter to someone special, a friend, parent and etc. The book has a table of contents of; greetings, read all about it, ps.sign your name, envelope, and ready to mail. This book is a wonderful tool that students can have when they begin to learn how to write letters. The book has all the information students need when writing a letter and sending it off.

This book goes over the details of what letters look like, what goes in them, and how to mail them. The authors provide suggestions on what to write about and how to organize your thoughts. It is simple and easy to understand.

I especially like the checklist for kids to make sure that they've included everything a letter calls for and the extra tips, such as including a photograph.
