This is the best thing ever

An amazing, fragmented biography in the voices of people in Mayakovsky's circle, bits of articles and letters--a complete world of the Russian avant garde at the time of the Revolution. Such a sense of the man and his big, bass voice, his surprising tenderness and melancholy as well as the power of his absolute sense of rightness. I'm taking my good sweet time with this.
